Spent two splendid weeks in this lovely cottage. It was extremely well equipped and very comfortable with everything you could possibly need provided. It was sparkling clean and we were provided with clean linen after the first week. We were offered a complete cleaning service but we turned that down as there was only 2 of us staying and we did some housework on a daily basis. Brian the owner was extremely helpful and answered any queries very speedily. The weather was splendid for the whole holiday in that superb part of Scotland. As the location suggests the cottage is right beside Elie golf course and that is of course very interesting and fascinating to watch the golfers. We had a very enjoyable meal in the 19th Hole Restaurant and would recommend it highly as well.

A very enjoyable stay. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The cottage is close to the beach and a variety of walks. Parking was good, but would say having been in Elie in the Summer it was difficult finding somewhere to park. The outdoor area was a bonus, with table and chairs outside in a secluded area.

We have just returned home after a fabulous week in Elie. Our stay at Helena Cottage was the icing on the cake. From the initial enquiry to our departure, communication with the owner Brian was spot on. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable, modern and the little patio was great for our young dog Harley. Fab little find. Quiet, clean, comfy and not far from the beach. Lovely little garden where you can sit. Totally enclosed for dogs and young children. All mod cons including a dish washer. Only drawback is the fact that you have to walk through the double bedroom to get to the twin. Ideal for couple with younger kids.

This was the perfect location to explore the east coast and only a two minute walk from the most beautiful beach. The house had everything we needed and the layout was perfect for our family! The house was very clean and the owner was very helpful with any questions we had 😊! We will definitely be back!

We stayed for three nights at Helena cottage. The cottage was lovely with very modern comfortable facilities. It has a private patio garden where we could sit outside and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. It is also very close to Ellie’s stunning beach and the 19th Hole Pub where we went for dinner. It is very close to St Andrews, Anstruther and Crail. I would definitely recommend Helena cottage and would love to return again next year.

We have just returned from a lovely week at Helena Cottage. The weather was mixed but it didn't spoil our enjoyment. The cottage is very comfortable with all you could need and is within a few minutes walk of a lovely beach. There are places very near to either order takeaway food or eat in. It is a beautiful stretch of coastline and unspoilt by commercialisation. Would definitely return!

As soon as you walk in to this cottage you get the immediate impression that it has been treasured and well looked after, with a fresh pristine and bright feel. Although it is small, each room is actually of a reasonable proportion, for example plenty of space for a King size bed, wardrobe and bedside cabinets in the main bedroom and for two singles and wardrobe in the other bedroom; more than enough kitchen storage and work surface areas, including a dishwasher (which usually is sacrificed in smaller kitchens); couch easily big enough for 4 in sitting area, and still enough space for a dining table. Therefore small yes but no compromises. The washing machine is in the outside shed, which is fine. A good size, functional and contemporary bathroom too. The outside patio space is bliss, a sunny sheltered spot, and rarely for Elie is not overlooked and quite private. The kids also thoroughly enjoyed having their own TV with netflix in their bedroom. Note the second bedroom is through the main bedroom in this L shaped cottage, which is great if you have kids as you feel close to them. We have stayed in Elie many times and we also really appreciated the location - not only is the beach a 3 minute walk away but it is in our view the nicest part of the beach! Also 3 mins from the Pavilion and 1 minute from the pub! The owner was also on hand to answer one or two queries we had during our stay, which was reassuring, like when we accidentally flicked the switch to turn the boiler off. If you are thinking about it, we have found that it is difficult to find well cared for accommodation in Elie, and would certainly recommend this for your stay.

Just spent 3 nights in Helena Cottage with my 3 year old son. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped with everything you need. Loved the private outdoor area although need hotter weather to be able to take full advantage of it. Cottage is in an ideal location very close to the beach and also handy for the lovely pub/restaurant (The Nineteenth Hole). Would definitely book again in the future.

Our second visit. The weather was extremely windy during our stay but the cottage is very sheltered. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Comfortable beds. Very good shower. Small courtyard where the dog can be let out safely.
