Villa Carolisol is a 4400 square foot open air carribean villa that offers a very relaxing vacation with its full time staff. Everyday can start with morning coffee and a breakfast prepared as you like it by Maria as you enjoy the view of the ocean located 100 yards away from the large second floor patio. Maria is there to do your cooking and the cleaning so relax and enjoy. You not only see the ocean but you can hear it too as well as the gently breeze. Three large air conditioned bedrooms on the first floor with 6 queen and 2 single beds, a crib and highchair is also available. A third floor bedroom offers a king size bed, tv, bath, balcony and terrace with terrific views. The villa was refurbished in 2009/10 with Serta pillowtop mattresses and linens. Beautiful View from Deck-Amazing Pool and Amenities

Everything was perfect. The villa is spectacular and so comfortable. Maria and the rest of the villa staff are so accommodating, prepared us amazing meals every day and kept the home spotless during our stay. The backyard pool and tiki bar were so much fun and we spent many hours relaxing there. We were a group of eight family members and each couple had a lovely private room in the villa. So much to do and see in the area. Be sure to ask about the VIP tour to Paradise Island, about $150 USD for the day but it was amazing and absolutely everything was included... food, drinks, transportation, snorkeling, simply fantastic. The owners are very responsive and work hard to make sure their guests are well taken care of during their stay.

Fantastic, spacious villa

Villa Carolisol is fantastic and surpassed our expectations. The accommodations, atmosphere, and entire experience were 5 star! The listing description didn't do the villa justice with its close location to everything we could want, internal room layout and villa amenities. We had 3 generations (2 parents, 2 grandparents and 3 kids: 12, 9 &6) staying and it met all of our needs -and more. The rooms and villa were spacious, the staff beyond accommodating -Maria and Santa are unbelievable! (Anything you want cooked or cleaned, they do with a smile and fast). The owner, Gary, was also extremely helpful when we asked for additional suggestions on where we could go to experience PoP. In fact, everyone - from the internal house staff to the external (pool man, driver) were beyond helpful and friendly. Everything was taken care of for us to truly relax and enjoy all the Puerto Plata could offer; without the "touristy feel." The private pool and close proximity to the beach, porch hammock, multiple rooms for socializing in, numerous bedrooms and bathrooms so everyone had their own space, large kitchen and dining areas, and wrap around porches all make it top notch! The inside and outside of the home and decor are beautiful and large. Everything is well kept, clean, safe, and in close proximity to a variety of activities: Beautiful beaches and amazing ocean-wild life experiences at Ocean World (dolphin swimming, shark swimming, sea lion hugging) that you can walk to, great snorkeling, delicious cuisine at gourmet restaurants like Le Papillon, close drive to sightsee at the local Fort or Amber museum, Alto Teleferico cable car, go souvenir shopping, jewelry or cigar shopping, and so much more... Coming from people who are world travelers (including the South Pacific, Caribbean, Latin America, Asia and Europe), fantastic memories were created here and we can’t wait to come back. We highly recommend Villa Carolisol!

Absolutely Wonderful.

We stayed at Villa Carolisol two Novembers ago over Thanksgiving week. The house was amazing, the pool was fantastic. Maria the cook was just the nicest and made the most amazing food. She helped us decide what food we wanted from a list, and then accompanied us to the grocery to buy it. She would have made us American food if we wanted it but we requested she make us Dominican food. We were so incredibly happy with our decision. I love to cook, but having amazing, homemade, authentic Dominican food on our table three meals a day and never having to think about cooking is my idea of an amazing vacation. She is a fantastic cook, the food was delicious, completely and utterly delicious. She and her helper were friendly and so very helpful. We had several days "out", horseback riding, catamaran and snorkeling, sliding down waterfalls, and then we had several days in. While our outings were wonderful, our "stay at home days" were equally great, it was super fun to go to the beach next to the house, and to hang out at the pool. Our kids loved having both the beach and the pool to play in, and hardly got out of the water the whole week we were there. We had a fantastic week, and have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. Thank you to the wonderful owner for having such a vast array of helpful people.

Unbelievable!!

We stayed at Villa Carolisol for our first time in the Dominican and were SO impressed with this villa! Lots of room for our 8 person group! The location is steps away from the beach and a short drive into Puerto Plata. Our "chefs", Maria and Sanda, were wonderful! We were SO spoiled with their cooking that we found any of the local restaurants to be sub par. The girls tidied the villa daily and made sure we always had clean towels for the pool or beach. Would go back in a heartbeat!!

Paradise

First off let me say that this place is absolutely unique from any other place in cofresi. Lets start with the owner Gary Champagne. A very kind and accomodating man. His staff also lives him. Lets face it good people make any situation better. He was very helpful and honest on the phone. Once we decided on renting the villa he met us in person and introduced us to Maria (love her) and Jose (so helpful). Maria and Jose take care of your every need while at the villa. I love to cook and appreciate great food. Maria is an amazing cook. Very healthy approach to cooking. Jose keeps the pool sparkly and the grounds beautiful. The rooms are huge and comfortable. The villa is fully stocked with linens, pool toys, beach and bath towels...everything u may need if u were in your own home. There is great attention paid to detail at villa carolisol. The house is completely spanish style. Very airy spacious and charming. Its a great house for families or large groups. The front balcony has full furniture and even curtains for added outdoor privacy. The pool is always clean and has enough sunshine to get it to the perfect temp, plus enough shade to prolong your fun. I looked at a few newer villas in the area, and tho they were new, they lacked charm and personality. Lets face it they dont make them like they used to. After my initial one night stay that turned into two, i vame back for a second visit. This time i stayed for 3 nights! And im looking fwd to our next stay sometime next year. I think villa carolisol will be an annual vacay for my family and I. Thank you Gary, Maria and Jose you all give heart and soul to this amazing villa.

Our villa is located 3 miles from Puerto Plata and is 100 steps to the beach. The beach area is in a cove offering a nice area for swimming. Ocean World Park, Casino and Marina is within walking distance offering a fun water park. There is a couple restaurants nearby.
