Fully air conditioned with separate units for living room and bedroom, or open the windows to enjoy the breeze. We like the breezes when they are blowing! Sleeps up to 4. The master bedroom has a queen bed, closet, clothes chest and private access to the full bath with tiled shower and vanity. Use the sleep sofa for a second couple or the kids: this room also has separate access to the bathroom through the sunroom. both bedroom and sleep sofa area can have privacy. Conch Villas was constructed in 1986 using rare Brazilian hardwoods, which are maintained inside Convivare. The siding and interior walls are made of IPE (green heart) from the Para province, just south of the Amazon Delta, from a Brazilian exporter in Belem using wood from enviromentel friendly cutters. The shutters are made of JATOBA a stronger wood than IPE and is mainly used as floor boards in Brazil. The shutters were prefabricated at a factory in BELEM. The hardware of unique Brazilian design, hinges etc. was also fitted in Belem. The Conch Villas grounds are designed into a garden by Property King, a highly regarded local landscaping firm. The stonework includes numerous conch shells cemented into the walls: it is after all Conch Villas. Impromptu visits by peacocks and goats can be expected. The name “Convivare” comes from the original owner of Conch Villas. They installed a plaque on the front door that carries the legend “Si non convivare noli tintinnare,” which is an Italian / Latin folk phrase meaning roughly “If you do not want to come in and feast with us, don’t ring the bell.' Tall ceilings and southern exposure allow abundant light into the unit, or close the four folding doors and window shutters for privacy. High speed Internet dedicated to this unit, with television (local channels pending viya restoration and access to your subscribed content through the Internet). A small bar with stools faces into the kitchen. Beach chairs and cooler are provided for your days on St. John’s incomparable beaches.More

About the neighbourhood
St John is one of the most beautiful islands in the world. and with two thirds of it as national park, it does not suffer from over development like many islands. it is low key and friendly. there are dozens of beaches. if you like to hike and explore, the park has numerous interesting trails. and of course there are boat charters available for diving or snorkeling or touring the other islands.
Getting around
Depending on what your want to do, you do not need a car to get to the downtown restaurants, shops and docks, and you can catch a safari taxi from there up to the incredible North Shore beaches. If you do want to rent a car, Kelly can refer you. We advise against renting a car on St Thomas: although they can be a little cheaper, the car ferry to St. John has a long wait.
