A place like grandparent's home in kampung but with style
After reading an article published in The Edge, i decided to plan a trip here just for the unique experience. It's like my grandparent's home back in kampung but of course this was with style. The host was very friendly and helpful with my planning and booking. I used to spend more time outdoor during my trips but i actually spent more time enjoying the atmosphere in Woogoxette Upstairs. It's a place perfect for small groups of friends or with family. I enjoyed my stay here a lot. I will definitely come back in the future.

A Unique and Memorable Homestay
We did have the luck to have (unwittingly) booked over Chinese New Year. Before we arrived we had been invited to join the family's celebrations. The hosts Dennis and Bryan were fantastic - welcoming and so helpful. The flat is upstairs and self-contained, with any family members in residence, living on the ground floor. It provided everything that was needed. The flat is quirky and very individual, set in a small farming village, with everyone living in close proximity. Our stay was very special, as not only were we invited to dinner on New Year's Eve, but again when the brothers' sister and family visited. On both occasions Bryan cooked the most delicious feasts. Dennis took us on a tour of the village, and around the farms. It was a privilege to be included in the family's celebrations, and the brothers' parents were so welcoming, despite their lack of English excluding them from the dinner-table conversations. Bryan put map locations into our phones for visits, including a fantastic Steamboat restaurant in the next village. He recommended a tea plantation that was off the beaten track. Our visit to the area was made by staying with this family, and will be fondly remembered.

Antique Bliss
We had an amazing time here in Bryan's home. Great place to unwind from the hectic city life, very clean and very very tastefully decorated, the bed sheets smelled wonderful. The best part of this was the balcony of the house, it is huge and overlooking the village and part of the plantations. It is just as you see it in the pictures, definitely not going to be my last time here. Value for your every cent! Perfect for 5 pax or less. Roadside parking can be limited in the village. There are few eateries just a few minutes walk away, or you could also drive to the bigger towns like Brinchang or Tanah Rata for more choices. Weather down in Kuala Terla is not as cold in the afternoon, but at night, it definitely is. Bryan is a very accommodating and knowledgeable host. If you wish to get the feel of staying in a village in Camerons, give this place a visit.

Lovely, quirky apartment in a real Cameron Highlands village, wonderful host
This apartment is really cute, with a quirky and individual style that we really liked and loads of space for our family of 5. While Cameron Highlands generally is a tourist hotspot, this apartment is located in an authentic, non-touristy village and we loved the insight into Malaysian village life this allowed us to see - the village market with live poultry and a special local corn pancake treat, the neighbour offering us passionfruit, the local kids playing with our children in the playground. Bryan is a super friendly and welcoming host, and communication was excellent. One thing to note if you are staying here is that it's quite a drive to the main CH centres (Brinchang, Tanah Rata, etc), so be prepared for plenty of driving on twisty mountain roads :-)

A Home away from Home
The location is excellent - near local eateries which serve really nice food, tea plantation is within walking distance where you can take a stroll or even get an ATV ride! The house is very clean and cozy, a nice place for reading and to enjoy the tranquillity of Kampung Terla. You can see the creativity of the host in every corner of the house, from the straw hat lamp shield, pallet bed frames, industrial-looking dining table to the DIY tap in the kitchen sink, this house never ceases to amaze me. On top of that, Bryan is a great host who spend time with his guests and introduce us to good local food and places to go around in Cameron Highland. In short, this is a home away from home where you can relax and enjoy!

Unique experience!
We stayed here for two nights to enjoy the Cameron Highlands. It was an absolute unique experience to stay in the village amongst the locals, and in this beautifully designed house. The house is so cool, well kept and has everything you need. Bryan is a fantastic host - very friendly, helpful and ready with tips at any time. I would highly recommend this to anyone especially if you want to stay somewhere different and not in the touristy areas.

Lovely Home Away From the Bustle of the City
Rustic charm, vintage vibes, fresh kampong spirit - Words i'll use to describe the house. Bryan was an excellent host, suggesting eateries and attractions only familiar with the locals. The house was tidy and clean. Location was excellent, peaceful as it was away from the busy main road. Really admire the little creative details for the decor. I felt at home away from home. Will recommend this place to anyone heading to Cameron Highlands.

About the neighbourhood
A quick introduction of our village: Kuala Terla is a small, serene and non-commercialised tea/farmer's village in the highlands. You probably will be the only group of tourist in town! In the morning, you will be able to hear roosters crowing, school bell ringing, villagers chatting and kids running around or riding their bicycles. Most villagers are very friendly, however, not many of them can converse in English. If you speak / chat with them, they will try their best to communicate with you. Food is always available in the village. Not a problem for guests who like to opt for Halal option as well. Most restaurants are family-operated, it's a fun and unique to experience eating like a local at somebody's home - for example, try Poh W
