About the neighbourhood
Soony’s home is located in easy walking distance to the Nopparat Thara Beach. Nopparat Thara is a long beach (around 5km), adjacent to Ao Nang and split into two halves by a river. The beach is known locally as Klong Haeng or ‘dry river’, a reference to the distance the water retreats at low tide, often so far that you can walk out to the small islands in front of it. Klong Haeng is also the name of the village closest to the beach, some 700m away. Many people who stay in the Nopparat Thara area catch a tuk-tuk to Ao Nang to eat and drink, although there are a growing number of decent restaurants and small bars along the center of the beach. People who stay in Klong Haeng Village tend to be repeat visitors, familiar with the area who want to be close to the beach and Ao Nang, but not...

BY PLANE Currently you can fly directly to Krabi year-round from four different countries: there are international flights from Singapore; from Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia; Doha in Qatar (which connects to Qatar Airlines’ worldwide network); and Hong Kong, Beijing, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Nanning, Nanchang, Guilin, Jinjiang, Guiyang, Wuhan, Zhengzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Changsha, Hefei, Kunming, Tianjin, Taiyuan, Shenyang and Shanghai (Pudong) in China.
