Located in the rural town of Milltown, the town benefits from all the basic amenities (take away restaurants, super markets, filling station, bars, churches, organic store) and is centrally located for exploring County Kerry. Just 15 minutes from Kerry airport, it provides the perfect base for planning day trips to areas such as Killarney and Tralee (within 20 minutes drive away) or further afield to towns like Dingle, Kenmare, Portmagee or Valentia Island (within 50 minutes drive). The Ring of Kerry, part of the Atlantic Way, is a 179-km-long circular tourist route in County Kerry combining jaw-dropping coastal scenery with emerald pastures and villages. Milltown is just a mere 10 minutes drive to entering the Ring of Kerry route at Killorglin. Fishing: With our rental, guests have the ability to book fishing trips on the lakes of Killarney on one of our four fishing boats on each lakes. The boats are located in prime fishing areas around the lakes of Killarney to help facilitate unique fishing trips, with an experienced guide. Guests also have the opportunity to avail of a unique hiking and fishing trip into high mountain lakes within easy access from our home. Trout season - 20th February to 12th October Salmon season - 17th January to 30th September Hunting: Hunting trips can also be arranged with our huntsman in Kenmare, subject to the hunting season. Fowling - woodcock, duck, snipe, pheasant 1st November to 31st January Deer - 1st September to 1st November Hunting and fishing are subject to availability and are an additional cost with our experienced local guide. About the neighbourhood
Steeple Meadows Crescent is set in a housing estate with 16 houses in the crescent. Our home is in a terrace of four houses and overlooks the green with views of Slieve Mish and the Irish country side. The neighbourhood is quite and the neighbours are delightful and friendly. There is parking in the driveway and also in the parking bays directly across from the house.
Getting around
A car is highly recommended when visiting the region. Public transport is limited and the train station is cicra 12 KM away.
