Rydon Lodge had a comforting feel about it. we enjoyed staying there it was very nice. Having some good weather we took advantage of the garden. The local pub just round the corner was excellent. many places of interest and coastal resorts are close by....More

Lovely cottage in a good location. With family for our sons wedding. Kitchen and kitchen equipment could have done with a spring clean. We would use again.

We stayed for a week in august and had a wonderful time. The lodge was lovely and well equipped. My daughter especially loved the under floor heating in the bathrooms. Would definitely recommend

The cottage has lots of charm and was well equipped with modern bathrooms. Good local village pub with good food. Near to the pretty village of Topsham which had lots of amenities.

About the neighbourhood
Exeter Topsham is nestled on the East side of the River Exe and is the former port of Exeter. The town has a long and ancient history dating back to the Roman period. Formerly a major seaport trading in cotton, the town is now of interest for its architecture with many of the houses being built using Dutch bricks which were brought over in exchange for wool and cotton. Topsham has great proximity to nature reserves for wading and migrating birds with RSPB Bowling Green Marsh located on the Exe estuary, the whole of which is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
