About Lookout Cottage:- The property has 3 bedrooms including an attractive attic room & sleeps a maximum of 6 persons. There is a pebble covered beach approximately 200 metres front the property. The accommodation is comfortable all year around with double glazing & full gas central heating. All bedding is supplied. Towels are provided for personal, kitchen use. Gas Central heating & electricity are included in the rental. We have free WiFi at the Lookout Cottage. Changeover: Changeover day is normally Friday (arrival 3 pm, depart following Friday 10.00 am). Prompt departure is essential to allow the caretaker to prepare the property for the next tenant. Sorry but we are a 'No Pets' property. Sorry but unfortunately we do not allow pets or smoking inside the property. Ground Floor: Lounge/Dining Room An open plan lounge/dining area with extensive sea views from the lounge window. Open coal effect gas fire, flat screen TV with Freeview & DVD player. Dining Room: A large dining table with seating for 6 people & sea glimpses through the lounge area. Kitchen: Electric cooker, microwave, washing machine, refrigerator, door to small back courtyard with washing line. First Floor Bedroom 1: Double bed, superb panoramic sea views over Mount's Bay. Bedroom 2: Twin beds Bathroom: Bath with shower over, basin and toilet Second Floor: Bedroom 3: Twin beds in loft conversion, TV/DVD player, amazing sea views. Car Parking: We have our own car parking space at the bottom of the pedestrianised lane, which is a major bonus especially during the busy months. Local attractions: Penzance , 2 miles away provides a wider range of shops, supermarkets & entertainments. Mousehole, the picturesque fishing village lies within a short walk along the footpath. Spectacular sandy beaches only a short drive away. Gardens - there are some excellent gardens in the area including Trengwainton and Trewidden. Acorn Theatre, Penzance for a diverse range of events performed in an intimate atmosphere. Penlee House Gallery & Museum in Penzance has a fine collection of Newlyn School paintings & runs various exhibitions. There is also the futuristic Exchange Art Gallery in the centre of Penzance & numerous smaller commercial galleries in the area. St. Michael's Mount (National Trust) - check the tide to see if you can walk across the causeway to this iconic landmark. Geevor Tin Mine - mine tours and museum. Isles of Scilly - day trips by sea from Penzance or air from Lands End Airport. South West Coastal Path – numerous stunning walks around the Penwith Peninsula. St. Ives - lots of art galleries including The Tate. Excellent beaches and good restaurants. Minack Theatre – an open air theatre operating in the summer season only (book in advance). Also museum & tea shop with spectacular views. Museum of Submarine Telegraphy, Porthcurno - a secret wartime communications centre with interactive exhibits. Very peaceful break. The cottage is extremely clean and well equipped and in a quiet but convenient spot. We didn't actually cook while we were visiting but everything you need is provided. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom clean, what more can you ask for?...More

Just to sit and look at Mounts Bay from the lounge and front first and second floor bedrooms - excellent. Situated above sea level there is no danger of flooding. There's a convenience store nearby. The walk into Newlyn takes about ten minutes, looking down...More

We have just returned from a week and can only say was superb. Having travelled for 10 and a half hours ,was great to be able to get into the cottage earlier at 12 pm as opposed to 3 due to the cottage being clean...More
