We had a lovely stay at Acton Castle, the property had everything we needed, and the heating was working well, which is always a worry in February! The castle is conveniently located and we found plenty to do in the surrounding area. A true gem.

Local attractions include Paradise Park, Trengwainton House, Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, There is a Cider Farm nearby and the incredible Minack Theatre.
Falmouth has a great maritime museum, and slightly further afield for a great day out you can visit the Eden Project with its fascinating bio-domes. Further north is Port Isaac - the home of Doc Martin, and Padstow Harbour - brought to fame by Rick Stein.
Rosudgeon is only 6 miles from Penzance. Here you will find an interesting mix of art studios, elegant historic buildings, individual shops and award winning restaurants. The castle is in a wonderful position for discovering this beautiful part of Cornwall and to make the most of all the area has to offer.
