Townend is located in Laithes, just 15 minutes drive from the Lake District National Park, 5 minutes from historic Greystoke Castle (Tarzan fame etc) and approximately 10 minutes from the market town of Penrith and the Rheged visitors/activity centre.
This is an excellent base to explore the Ullswater/Derwentwater/Bassenthwaite lakes and hills area and some of the quieter corners of the Lake District.
