A charming and recently renovated Grade II listed cottage minutes walk from Lincoln's historic cathedral quarter. No. 10 provides a stylish and well-equipped base from which to explore the Castle, Cathedral, restaurants and boutique shops in Uphill Lincoln. A shaker style kitchen opens into the dining room where guests can relax, next to the wood-burning stove. The cosy sitting room has an open brick fireplace, Laura Ashley furnishings, wooden shutters and a SMART TV. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms; one a small double, both with luxury cotton bed linen and white fluffy towels. The warm panelled bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, victorian style taps and radiator. There is a key safe at the cottage so you can arrive at a time to suit your needs, or we would be happy to meet you and hand over the keys and welcome you to No.10. We know Lincoln and the surrounding area very well and are always happy to advise on restaurant/pub choice and help you to plan days out whether it be a visit to the Historical Uphill area or to the Lincolnshire coast. Thoroughly enjoyed our week at 10 Mill Road. The cottage is beautifully furnished and decorated, has very comfortable beds and is spotlessly clean . We felt instantly relaxed and at home and were lucky enough to experience some warm weather which meant that we could also enjoy the lovely outside seating area. The cottage is located very close to the Cathedral Quarter, just a few minutes level walk. Ellis Mill (a working windmill) is just along the road but only open at weekends. The cottage was beautifully presented with every attention to detail. Beds, super comfortable and the log burner an absolute treat during the cold snap which we experienced.

About the neighbourhood
No. 10 is ideally located as Mill Road is in the Uphill part of Lincoln, on a particularly quiet road. The cottage has a visitors' Parking Permit for guests, for Zone 4E, along Mill Road. It can take as little as 5 minutes level walk to reach the Castle, which now has free entry, and through which you can walk to the Cathedral and reach the Bailgate and SteepHill. Burton Road also has a good selection of shops, take aways and restaurants.
Getting around
It is a short, level walk to Lincoln Castle, the cathedral quarter and the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, with a number of restaurants and pubs close by. Grocery shops and a post office are a two minute walk from No. 10. The bus station is at the bottom of Lincoln and the 'walk and ride' Steep Hill shuttle bus links the cathedral quarter with the High Street, cultural and Brayford Waterfront quarters. A train station is adjacent the bus station.
