Located at the beautiful Treberfydd House with its walled garden and magnificent trees, we enjoyed walks right from the doorstep with the dogs and breathtaking views across the landscape. The Barn had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend away.

We had such a lovely time at our stay at the Barn. What an amazing location. It doesn’t get better than this. Great owners who communicated so well and sent many helpful guides on the area for us. The Barn was well equipped, great lounge dinner and kitsch area. 3 bathrooms which was so lucky to find ! So warm and cosy. Plenty of parking as well. Would definitely return and highly recommend! Thank you!

We stayed here for 5 days with a group of our old uni friends and 2 teenagers. It is perfect for a relaxing get away. Close to lots of easy walking which was great for the 2 dogs that came with us. The two rooms that are linked by the "jack and jill" bathroom are ideal for parents with younger children. Our 2 teenagers got the hang of locking both doors! We had some pretty awful weather, so we spent a far amount of time playing board games in the large living room and enjoying the wood burning stove. We all like to cook and the well equipped kitchen was great for catering for 8. The wide format cooker was a real bonus. As another reviewer pointed out, if you are here in the summer with a dog, you might need some form of guard so that you can have the door open but not allow the dog to chase the chickens! The weather was so bad during our stay that the doors were firmly closed. Thoroughly recommended.

Everything has been said - apart from the bonus of Maisie Dog. Crickhowell and Hay are a joy and we had a fine meal at The Three Horseshoes.

I highly recommend this cottage for smaller or larger groups. We were four adults and two young children but it could easily have hosted 6 adults plus children. The place is clean, spacious, and comfortable. Beautifully situated in a quiet area with a lovely yard and garden overlooking beautiful pastoral view. We did walks straight from the cottage. The children loved the neighbours’ chickens that were walking around the yard. We were well looked after, given recommendations for walks etc. I will book again and can’t recommend it enough.

Great place for a family get-together - very comfortable living area, with 3 bathrooms so we never had to queue for a shower!Superb views of the Black Mountains, plus lots to do in the local area, from picturesque walks straight from the door, boating on Llangorse Lake, and Tretower Castle if you fancy a bit of history!

My family and I have stayed here several times. It is a well appointec barn conversion with modern comfortable rooms, a big open plan kitchen/dining room/lounge and all in a beautiful location. Close to lots of interesting places, including Hay on Wye. Lots of local walks through stunning countryside. Easy to self cater in the big kitchen and there are shops a short drive away. I would recommend this house to anyone.

The Barn is very close to Llangors Lake, and about 2 miles from the main A40 between Crickhowell and Brecon. Perfect for a relaxing gentle walking holiday with plenty of footpaths in easy reach. It was just right for our party as I wanted to show my granddaughters my home for my 70th Birthday. As a Valleys girl it was an easy drive to get to my home but also gave us the perfect place to relax in the evenings. My thanks to David for providing us with the ideal place to enjoy the stunning scenery which is Wales. My one regret is that I didn’t get a chance to look around David’s garden so will have to come again.
