Treberfydd was gorgeous. Really spacious converted Barn. Open plan living & kitchen area with a wood burning stove for cosy Autumn nights.
Large bedrooms each with en suite or Jack & Jill bathroom. The beds were super comfy with crisp white linen & super fluffy comfy pillows.
Very well equipped kitchen. The views from Treberfyd are gorgeous, waking up to the Black Mountains on one side & a field full of sheep on the other.
The owners were super helpful & accommodating & even welcomed us with a bottle of wine.
I would highly recommend Treberfydd & we hope to stay there again.

Perfect spot for a family weekend
Located at the beautiful Treberfydd House with its walled garden and magnificent trees, we enjoyed walks right from the doorstep with the dogs and breathtaking views across the landscape. The Barn had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend away.

The Barn
We had such a lovely time at our stay at the Barn.
What an amazing location. It doesn’t get better than this.
Great owners who communicated so well and sent many helpful guides on the area for us.
The Barn was well equipped, great lounge dinner and kitsch area. 3 bathrooms which was so lucky to find !
So warm and cosy.
Plenty of parking as well.
Would definitely return and highly recommend!
Thank you!

Great place for a large family or group get together
We stayed here for 5 days with a group of our old uni friends and 2 teenagers. It is perfect for a relaxing get away. Close to lots of easy walking which was great for the 2 dogs that came with us.
The two rooms that are linked by the "jack and jill" bathroom are ideal for parents with younger children. Our 2 teenagers got the hang of locking both doors!
We had some pretty awful weather, so we spent a far amount of time playing board games in the large living room and enjoying the wood burning stove.
We all like to cook and the well equipped kitchen was great for catering for 8. The wide format cooker was a real bonus.
As another reviewer pointed out, if you are here in the summer with a dog, you might need some form of guard so that you can have the door open but not allow the dog to chase the chickens! The weather was so bad during our stay that the doors were firmly closed.
Thoroughly recommended.

Welcoming, comfortable, spacious property in a uniquely beautiful place.
Everything has been said - apart from the bonus of Maisie Dog.
Crickhowell and Hay are a joy and we had a fine meal at The Three Horseshoes.

Great cottage lovely break
I highly recommend this cottage for smaller or larger groups. We were four adults and two young children but it could easily have hosted 6 adults plus children. The place is clean, spacious, and comfortable. Beautifully situated in a quiet area with a lovely yard and garden overlooking beautiful pastoral view. We did walks straight from the cottage. The children loved the neighbours’ chickens that were walking around the yard. We were well looked after, given recommendations for walks etc. I will book again and can’t recommend it enough.

Relaxing stay in great house
My family and I have stayed here several times. It is a well appointec barn conversion with modern comfortable rooms, a big open plan kitchen/dining room/lounge and all in a beautiful location. Close to lots of interesting places, including Hay on Wye. Lots of local walks through stunning countryside. Easy to self cater in the big kitchen and there are shops a short drive away. I would recommend this house to anyone.

Treberfydd Farm Barn provides an excellent base to explore the Brecon Beacons but on your doorstep are watersports on Llangors lake, the largest natural lake in South Wales; a near-by rope, activities and riding centre; two village pubs (four in the summer) and some great walks and cycle rides, including the 150-year Monmouth Canal and 100-mile Taff Trail.

How to get there
Treberfydd Farm Barn is an hour's drive from Cardiff, 1.5 hours from Bristol and Hereford, 30 minutes from Hay-on-Wye and 12 minutes from Brecon, the Georgian market town.
The barn is about three hour's drive from west London. Take the M4 west over the Severn Bridge towards Cardiff and Newport. At junction 24, take the turning signposted Monmouth to get on to the A449. Follow this road till you get to the A40 junction (signposted Abergavenny) and take this exit.
Continue on the A40, following signs for Brecon, until you get to Bwlch. At Bwlch, go up over the pass and about 200 yards further, turn right at the war memorial (just past the Gate Shop) onto the B4560 signposted to Llangorse. About 1/4 mile down the B4560, take the first left (signposted Pennorth) onto a small lane. Follow this for nearly 2 miles until you see the barn on your right.
From Brecon, take the A40 and turn left just after Peterstone Court, toward Pennorth. Follow that lane for 2 miles until you see the Barn on your left.
From the North and the Midlands
Head for the A40, and pass through Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth and Abergavenny. After that, follow the directions as in the paragraph above.
