We had a family party of over 16 plus 5 dogs for Christmas and this place was perfect! Toasty warm, and a great mixture of cosy living rooms and a really spacious dining room for dinner. Lots of space for muddy boots and coats, and with two kitchens and utility rooms we were able to easily cater for everyone. A good number of the bedrooms were Ensuite, and the rest had bathrooms just across the corridor. You can walk to the canal and along into Brecon, or it’s just a short drive to the Brecon Beacons for some lovely walks

A group of 12 of us came to stay in for a weekend in September. We had a warm welcome from Ruth who gave us a tour on arrival. The house was well appointed and my toddler loved all the toys that were present. These are kept in discreet boxes for those who'd like to visit but with no children! The kitchens were lovely and clean and bedrooms spacious. We had a few issues but Ruth was very attentive and saw to these straightaway. The wood burner is a great feature. We would recommend this to our friends and family.

Having stayed twice before, as a family of 15, it almost feels like coming home! The property is perfect, so well kitted out, can't think of anything that is not catered for. The games barn proved very popular too as did the campfire! As others have said, Ruth is the perfect hostess making sure you have everything you need but in this instance it was her mum who greeted us with the same relaxed and welcoming manner. Thank you.

Would thoroughly recommend this house if you are a large party planning on visiting Brecon. Immaculate throughout, Ruth was a pleasure to deal with from the booking to collecting the keys. There were ten of us, not one had a negative word to say regarding the house. We will definitely be coming back as a fantastic base for walking/cycling/golf.. loved the BBQ area & covered veranda, we spent three nights out there, amazing..

We've stayed here 3 times now and each time its got better and better. We've been as a small group of 12 and then again as a fully loaded house taking over both sides. Kitchens are stocked with everything you could wish for - even a fresh coffee maker. Pot, pans, plates, cutlery and glasses are in abundance. Kids are also catered for with plastic plates and cups. You've got a washing machine and tumble dryer there too, how handy when on muddy walks. Would HIGHLY recommend this property, you'd be mad to pass it by

There were 20 family members stayed at this house Friday - Monday to celebrate our mums 80th. There is plenty of space within this house, two living rooms and two kitchens. All bedrooms were equipped with everything you needed including towels. Both kitchens had everything you needed and more. This house is a great large space for a group of friends or family to spend some time in a lovely area of Brecon. Would defiantly recommend this house and would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the great outdoors a bit more.

Pros: - Owner was flexible and able to set up an additional bed - Family friendly - 2 travel cots provided, high chairs, toys, books, plus table tennis, pool table and outdoor Connect 4 game available - Lounges with lovely wood stoves, gas fired barbecue and outside 'camp' fire available - Scenic, with a farm with sheep literally next door - Owner was easy going and overlooked a glass and bowl breakage (thanks Ruth!) - Spotlessly clean - Kitchens and bathrooms were all modern and finished to a high standard - Owner kindly gave us a tour and showed us where everything was - Location was great for Brecon as attractions were very close by (generally around 10-15 mins drive away) Cons: - Poor phone reception and wifi connectivity, though we managed to get by - The stairs to the bedrooms may be difficult for those less mobile; no bedroom on the ground floor (though this is evident from the property description) Overall, this was a cracking place to stay and definitely highly recommended for large groups to stay in or around Brecon.

Hi Rugena, thanks for the comments lovely comments. I'm sorry about the wifi - the house is equipped with access points throughout and connectivity is usually excellent in every room so there must have been an issue with it - thanks for bringing it to my attention now as I will ensure I get the issue resolved for the next guests.
