This is the most wonderful house with views that just don't stop and are ever changing. The house itself is perfect, one doesn't want for anything. The owner was close by and very kind. Both bedrooms have floor to ceiling windows so one can enjoy the view all over the house.

Magnificent views in a beautifully unique and comfy house in tranquil surroundings. Arrived home today and already booked for next year.

What a fabulous property! You will get lost in the view, we went out during the day (St Andrews and Cupar both an easy 15 minute drive) and sat and watched the view change as the sun set in the evenings. The Shieling is spotlessly clean and well equipped. The owners live next door and so are on hand but totally unobtrusive. We did contact them for help once and they were immediately helpful. We loved this place so much we have booked to return in May.

This property definitely has to have one of the best views in Fife! The house is spotless, beautifully presented, great facilities and the owners are incredibly attentive. We will definitely be staying there again in the not too distant future.

Great start to our Scottish holiday. The accommodation exceeded our expectations, it had everything we required. The Outdoor fire was great, we spent every evening sitting round the fire as a family. Moira was lovely, we will definitely be coming back.

Property has fantastic views over St Andrews and Tents Muir. It is spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equiped. There is a delightful little patio behind the property with fire stove and barbecue that we enjoyed for evening drinks. Moira and her husband are very helpful but not intrusive, Strongly recommended.

Fantastic property in a fabulous location with stunning views towards St Andrews. Very well equipped, spacious, spotlessly clean and Covid safe. Moira and her husband were on hand to answer any queries and checked throughout the week that everything was OK. We used the outside wood burner and seating area on two evenings to enjoy a quiet drink. The wildlife was amazing with a red squirrel, woodpecker and a jay arriving at the same time - awesome. We would hope to return in the near future as we still have plenty to see in the area. Superb holiday.

Had a wonderful stay at the Shieling (again!) and this time we enjoyed the new covered outdoor seating area at the back of the property (even protected us during a hail storm!) The views down the hill to the coast and St Andrews are ever-changing with the weather, and we spent hours inside, just staring out, very relaxing. The red squirrels were about and it was brilliant to see them running around and feeding on peanuts. Great cycling opportunities at Tentsmuir. On a practical level, in the property there is now a very useful large fridge-freezer so we were able to stock up and keep more self-catering supplies. Had such a lovely stay, and thanks to Moira the host - always available if any queries.

This is the second time we have stayed and it was again an amazing break - a great place for some R&R! Also very accessible to St Andrew’s for beach walks. We will be back. Thanks Moiri for a warm welcome and comfortable stay.
