This self contained apartment for two people is perfectly situated in Prestwick. Everything was to hand, including a breakfast basket, milk, butter, cheese and bread in the freezer should we want toast. Spotlessly clean. Outside seating area too. Close to train station but electric trains...More

About the neighbourhood
Great location for the golf courses, beach, train station, Glasgow Prestwick Airport and a vibrant Main Street where you can find great restaurants, cafes, bars, supermarket and much more. My favourite restaurants are Lido, Elliott's and the Pioneer, my favourite cafe is Murrays & Costleys with all having fantastic food, drinks and the best homemade scones and soup.

Prestwick, situated on the coast 34 miles south of Glasgow, is Scotland's oldest baronial burgh, dating back over 1,000 years. Robert the Bruce is said to have drunk the water here, at what is now known as Bruce's Well. The first ever British Golf Open Championship was held at Old Prestwick Course.
Getting around
Prestwick town train station will take you to places like Ayr, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stranraer and much more.
The bus is very convent as is Glasgow Prestwick Airport being 1 stop on the train or a 3minute taxi ride.
Should you wish to explore more of Ayrshire and indeed further afield in Scotland, you would benefit from hiring a car. Please ask me for details of local car hire.
