The apartment is in a historical building, Castel Terracena, the former Norman residential Palace of Salerno, dating to the end of the 11th century. It was erected by Robert the Guiscard, Norman adventurer who conquered Southern Italy, after having defeated the last Longobard prince of Salerno.
