Sanpolo1544 is an antique room (bed and breakfast), created inside a historic building founded in 1544 and located in the San Polo discrict, close to the famous Ducal Palace of Urbino, whose court was home to many of the most famous artists of the Renaissance.

A stone marks on the side of the house the year 1544, when 3 medieval houses were joined together to form a palace that has been inhabited for centuries by the noble families of Ciurelli, Malatesta and Martorelli. The coat of arms and traces of these and other families are still present in the building.

Wonderful place to stay, it’s like stepping back in time upon stepping into the room. Great breakfast in the courtyard too,! Thanks to Alessandra and family for a lovely stay.

Located in the historical center, in the most beautiful and oldest part of it...a few meters from the Ducal Palace, the National Gallery of Marche, the Cathedral and close to the University facilities. Staying in the district of San Polo, will allow to visit and see the city in a comprehensive manner, even in unconventional hours. Sanpolo1544 is located within the antique city walls. You need to park the car in a public parking area nearby. Forget the car and live for a few days in a different dimension is definitely an advantage. Transit to Sanpolo1544 is permitted to handle the luggages and then park the car in a parking area that is close to the city centre (less then 200mt from the apartment). You have 2 options: a toll parking called 'Borgo Mercatale' 200mt from the apartment and a free of charge parking area 'via della stazione' 3-400mt from the apartment and a shuttle bus transiting every 15 minutes. -
