Two studio apartments in a nice quiet recidential area only 5 minutes walk from center of the town. Big garden with barbicue facility and sitting area. Fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with a shower, free wifi, free parking, tv and twin beds with possibilty of fasten them together. Private entrance to both studios. The owners live upstairs with two dogs, a golden retriver and a labrador. About the neighbourhood
Isafjordur is the biggest town in the Westfjords, with about 2500 people. There are two supermarkets, several restaurants, two bakeries, bookshop and some more shops. The town is surrounded with mountains and you have mountain and see view from the town. The nature is beutiful and you can enjoy it only in a few minutes walk or drive. There are kayak trips, boat trips, guided ATV trips, walking tours, golf course, museums, swimmingpools and many hiking trails. The beutiful waterfall Dynjandi is only about an hours drive from Isafjordur, and in summer you can take a boat from Isafjordur to the Hornstrandir reserve, see the arctic fox or take a day trip to the birdcliff Hornbjarg. Around Isafjordur there are 5 smaller towns and villages.
Getting around
If you have a car you can drive from Reykjavik in 5-6 hours, or take longer time to explore many places on the way. There are two flights every day between Reykjavik and Isafjordur, it takes about 40 minutes to fly. There is a fly bus at the airport in Isafjordur that can drive you to your hotel.The airport in Isafjordur is about 5 minutes drive from the center of town. You can also choose to drive one way and fly the other, there are rental cars in Isafjordur as well as in Reykjavik.
