Situated in a lovely rural setting, Orchard View is situated in a small hamlet of houses to the north east of Loch Leven; you can cycle and walk from the front door; the National Cycle Network and the Loch Leven Heritage Trail are both accessed from the end of the farm track, with the Trail providing safe off-road walking and cycling around the Loch to Kinross and RSPB, Vane Farm. Whilst you can walk to our local pub, the Balgedie Toll is a 5 minute walk away, offering a full lunch and evening menu, we have the award winning Loch Leven Larder farm shop only 3 minute walk away, at the end of the track. This offers shopping along with daytime food/drink, including a deli counter, and other locally sourced foodstuffs. Stayed at 4 bedroomed Orchard View cottage for weekend. The cottage wildly exceeded expectations. It is very well furnished, clean and fully equipped. Plenty of hot water. Sky TV. Loch Leven larder café opposite does pretty decent breakfast. I have absolutely no complaints. Fully recommend.

The best stay ever in Scotland the cottage was very spacious with big beds and the hosts were one of the best very friendly and listened to what ever request we had. Will book for the next season at the same place

The region around Loch Leven has been further enhanced by the newly completed Loch Leven Heritage Trail. We are fortunate to be within a few minutes walk of one of the access points onto this hard surface trail circumnavigating Loch Leven. You can walk or cycle to RSPB, Vane Farm in one direction or head westward towards Milnathort and Kinross in the other. There are numerous coffee shops to reward your efforts. We are in a lovely rural area, yet with the advantage of easy access to most of Central Scotland. Many musical events are on offer in the area, with Backstage at the Green by Mundell Music providing a vast and varied array of musicians to enjoy, the successful Rewind festival at Scone, Perth also being a regular event.
