My family and I stayed at 2 Delves cottage for week. The hosts were very friendly welcoming and helpful considering we only gave them 24-hours notice. A well equipped clean tidy homely three bedroom cottage in a great location especially if you like walking because Dartmoor national Park is only 10 minutes drive away or if you like cycling it is literally on the national cycle route 28. Even though it's in a quiet countryside location it is only one mile by car to the A38 which will get you to all the other holiday hotspots and attractions in South Devon. Great large back garden for the kids or dog to run around and let off a bit of steam. We will stay here again.

Brilliant location, gorgeous garden and fantastic host! Would definitely return! The house was brilliantly equipped with everything you could need and the garden is fantastic. We even got to feed the chickens!

Great place to stay with kind, helpful and unobtrusive host next door. Lovely garden to relax or play in. Fantastic location for exploring Dartmoor and the Devon coastal towns. Loads and loads of things to do in the immediate area. Highly recommend.

Lovely quiet location close enough to civilization but far enough away. Huge garden which our kids loved a lot. Host who lives next door was very knowledgeable about the area and great with the kids, inviting them to feed the chickens in the coop every night. Had use of a rope swing and trampoline. My parents dog was most welcome. Cycle track and the start of many walks was right outside the house. We will visit again given the opportunity.

We enjoyed our three night stay in the cottage. Plenty of space for our three children and the large enclosed garden helped. Good communication meant we could access property easily when arrived. Good off road parking and close to amenities. Tiny kitchen made cooking more of a challenge and so we ate out more than expected. Also no dishwasher. But good supply of hot water and a well stocked kitchen for equipment and consumables. Comfy beds plenty of bedroom storage. Narrow steep staircase worried me somewhat with little ones at night but leaving a light on helped. Overall a good stay and we may well return at some point in the future.

Where to start... To say that this is an excellent propterty for a holiday does not do it or the owners justice. The reasons we are looking forward to going back again are: Very clean, with all the home comforts you could need. Fantastic - and I do mean FANTASTIC, rear garden. It's huge, tidy and pretty. It has a large trampoline and rope swings from large trees. A lovely place to unwind after a day of activities. We ate outside most nights (but so did the insects - so take propellant in the summer!). The cottage itself.. The photos online do not do it justice. It's much larger than we expected. The open plan lounge/diner is perfect, and the kitchen equipped to cook everything we wanted. The beds were very comfortable, and the bedding/towels provided were good quality. There is a conservatory that serves as a utility room, with washer/dryer. The bathroom was immaculate and of good quality. The location is great. Tranquil, but with many many attractions and beautiful places to visit within a short drive. The owners, Karen and Brandon are good people. Extremely helpful in every way. They live in the house next door, but left us to it which was welcome on our break. They were available for anything we needed, and let my children feed their 16 immaculate chickens. We were given fresh eggs every day, which made breakfast an absolute delight - I didn't know eggs could taste so good! A genuine thank you Karen and Brandon for helping to make our stay so enjoyable, and we look forward to seeing you again - for sure next summer, and we're thinking about a visit in October too :-)

Fantastic location for both the moors and the beach. Very peaceful and our son loved the chickens and being able to help feed them and put them to bed. Garden is lovely with loads of room to relax. Cottage comfortable and cozy. Would definitely use again.

We absolutely loved spending the week at the cottage. Our children loved playing in the absolutely huge garden, the house was big enough for all our needs and we can’t wait to go back again. The fresh eggs every morning were amazing and I would highly recommend anyone looking for a beautiful place to stay with loads of character to book as you won’t be disappointed. We fell in love with Torquay which is around 20 minutes down the road for how beautiful and peaceful it is, as well as being very easy on the pocket. Thank you for the most perfect week away from the hustle and bustle of central London.

2 Delves cottages is in a very nice spot and is very quiet .On arrival the cottage did smell a bit musty as though it had been shut up but was soon remedied by open all the windows. The cottage has some nice features. The lounge has a very nice leather sofa and new curved tv but wasn’t a fan of the shelving which housed lots of knick knacks which would have been more at home at a boot fair but that’s a personal opinion. Upstairs was plainly furnished with very comfy beds and more shelving and knick knacks. The kitchen although old was well equipped. The shower room was beautiful with plenty of hot water. The huge garden was lovely and quiet and we had it entirely to ourselves only disappointment was that the furniture was not that as shown in the pictures. It was under a tree and therefore covered in leaves it was also rather grubby with the odd sprinkling of bird poo so we never ate outside. Our host was pleasant enough and helpful in resolving the cold water problem. The cottage is value for for money but we wouldn’t return.
