We stayed a week in this beautifully refurbished property situated in the middle of a pear orchard.
The house was spotless and beautifully decorated with everything we could possibly need for cooking and relaxing. The garden has a pool to cool down in when it gets hot, and lots of lovely spots to relax and enjoy the garden.
Katalin and her family were so welcoming and helpful, even leaving coffee pods, chocolate and wine for us to enjoy.
The property is perfectly situated for exploring the surrounding areas. In addition to beautiful Obidos, we visited Buddha Eden Garden, Sintra, Alcobacar and a few lovely beaches.
I can't recommend this place enough - just wish we could have stayed longer!

A perfect, beautiful house in the country with wonderful hosts.
One of the best (if not the best) reasons to travel is to meet people from other places. We were immediately greeted by Katalin and her beautiful, warm, and generous family and were taken in and treated as if we were their long lost relatives. Since we had two small children and had been traveling all day, Katalin was kind enough to cook us a delicious dinner and filled our cups up with great local wine (of course you can buy a big box from a neighbor!). The apartment is enormous with three large bedrooms and an amazing common space and large kitchen. The backyard had plenty of things for our kids to explore and the surrounding area was filled with pear trees. We were about 8 minutes from Obidos and 20 from the beach, but it felt more rewarding to just stay and relax in the comfortable home. Our only regret was not staying longer. Next time!
