Sleep under the stars! Hidden away in a secluded end of the gardens is the eclectic Monty’s Hideaway. The perfect spot for a uniquely memorable romantic get away. This is Glamping at its best. There is simply nothing like it in Australia! Come with an adventurous spirit and you won't be disappointed. Monty’s Hideaway Apartment comprises a luxurious queen-bedded bedroom/lounge with a retractable roof over your bed (with a rain sensor!). There is a spacious shower room with a lifting roof so you can shower in the morning sun. And there is a wonderfully secluded deck with wood burner/chiminea and pleasant views towards the Derwent River. Monty's Hideaway is named after Field Marshall Montgomery, arguably Tasmania's most famous resident. He grew up in this place and was always in trouble...Sleep under the stars! Place is clean, private and has a spacious bathroom. Location is convenient as it's a 5-min drive to the city centre. Rebecca has clear instructions to get to the airbnb place, and even includes a list of restaurants categorised by brunch, cafes, seafood etc! Netflix...More

About the neighbourhood
Central in easy walking distance to many good restaurants, Salamanca and other attractions in Hobart Tasmania. This focal point of 19th century Hobart was built in the 1830s and is set in about an acre of gardens on one of Hobart's most attractive tree-lined streets on the edge of Battery Point - just at the end of our street. And unlike Battery Point/other central areas, we have free parking outside!
Getting around
The airport shuttle passes our door. Very pleasant walking area, close to all that matters in Hobart. Plentiful taxis minutes away.
