Superb location
This well appointed apartment is situated conveniently close by to the beautiful Southbank precinct including the Convention and Exhibition Centre, Crown Casino, DFO and excellent restaurants and bars. With a tram stop right at the door, travelling around the city couldn't be easier. We made good use of the indoor swimming pool with our 5 year old and hope to utilise the tennis courts and BBQ facilities next time. The apartment was roomy, clean and comfortable.

WOW, WOW & another WOW!
LOOOOOVED staying in this beautiful & cosy apartment! Styled so great that it feels like you are returning to a warm & welcoming New York apartment. Roomy, comfy lounge room and seating, big rooms and really comfy big beds. They had all the amenities you would need for your stay (even toddler friendly crockery!). The location is awesome as is just a short walk to the Yarra and all the amazing restaurants, events & transport. The management team on whom you deal with is just a text, email or call away...they were lovely enough to even give me a late checkout. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Melbourne...honestly couldn't fault anything!

Perfect location, definitely recommend
This is our 3rd time staying in this apartment, and it continues to be a great place to return to. So close to the city, we have been able to manage our stay within the current pandemic situation. Very close to local supermarkets, delivery is easy to manage, and walking distance to South Melbourne market and the city. The apartment continues to be maintained at a very clean, which is particularly important in the current pandemic circumstances. We would definitely recommend to others. Plenty of room in each bedroom, plus 2 bathrooms, makes it perfect for me to stay with my husband and children.

You can walk to the market, the city or just around the corner to the Southbank Promenade, which is rich in great cafes, restaurants and bars. There aren't that many two-bedroom apartments with two bathrooms around Southbank, so yes, this is great for mum and dad and the kids. A Great Place to Stay
This was our second visit to this apartment. We chose this apartment again for its closeness to the city and also St Kilda beaches. Three different tram s stop outside, giving you a wide variety of stops in the city and further out. The unit was very clean and tidy and all appliances worked. Management were very accommodating with our late checkout request. Supermarkets are not much more than a stroll away and there is a mini market and bottle store about 50 meters from the building. Crown casino and multiple restaurants are three minutes walk away. MCG and Rod Laver Arena are about 30 minutes by tram with one change. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms - ideal for two couples or a family. There is a BBQ, tennis courts and indoor pool.

Great location, great apartment, great experience!
Our experience staying for 4 nights in Staycentral’s Cityside at Southbank was excellent. The apartment was located amoung all our favourite restaurants, shops and activities that we love in Melbourne. Chris and Sharon were an absolute pleasure helping us organise our arrival/departure times. We were even fortunate enough to be given a late check out on Sunday! I was unsure of visiting Southbank and not staying in a hotel facility, but this serviced apartment experience was easy and stress free. I will definitely be looking to reserve accomodation with Staycentral again!

Fantastic location, friendly apartment block, great views shopping, dining and The Crown as your local, need no more.
Everything is in walking distance, great views and very comfortable apartment. The owner Chris excellent to deal with when booking and takes great pride in his apartment to ensure the visitors feel most welcome. A big thanks to Michael who let us in on Boxing Day, he was extremely helpful, kind and funny! Loved our holiday and it was extra special that we could bring our dog. Def, def, def coming back here! A memorable, comfortable visit!
Ideally located in every way with a short distance from Southbank, the City, South Melbourne though quiet enough to be able to relax and enjoy our break away. The introduction to our stay was inviting and we knew right away that we had chosen the ideal place for our week long visit. The rooms were a good size, furniture tasteful and we were very pleased with our choice at 'StayCentral CitySide CBD!' It is not brand new but it was spotless, comfortable and easy living with myself and my elderly parents!

I love the tram stop out the front; goes to Port Melbourne or St Kilda, or back into the city and anywhere from there! The owners spared no expense in furnishing this apartment, (even the king bed is worth more than $5,000), so I'm glad you liked it. Great Locatio
I'm from WA and regularly use Stay Central and this is the second time I have used this apartment, and in future I will book it again. It's the centre location and the easy access to public transport that win it for me. The apartment itself is neat,clean and well furnished, but it's the close proximity of restaurants and shopping that I love.

About the neighbourhood
(As its name suggests, Southbank is located on the southern side of the 252km Yarra River, where it passes the Melbourne CBD.) It is very close to South Melbourne. StayCentral – Cityside at Southbank is perfectly located in Southbank, the premier shopping, dining and entertainment precinct of Melbourne. Here are just a FEW examples of local attractions which are an EASY WALK (less than 1,000m) away: Southbank and Southgate Promenade shops, restaurants and cafés; right on the river Southbank to Port Melbourne, South Melbourne or South Yarra - great for walking, jogging, bike riding or roller blading. Southbank promenade forms part of the Capital City Bicycle Trail, which circles the Melbourne city centre and some inner eastern and northern suburbs. A popular starting point for the trail is at Princes Bridge near Flinders Street Station. Bikes can be hired near the boathouses east of the bridge. The beautifully landscaped Queen Victoria and Alexandra Gardens with its boathouses, jogging track, bike paths and river boats on the adjacent Yarra River The Yarra River is a great way to see the city and hear about its history. Other facilities include picnic tables, barbecue areas, playgrounds, restaurants and toilets. St. Kilda and surrounding beaches - great for swimming, walking, jogging, bike riding or roller blading. Getting around
The trams are just out front, and can take you to Port Melbourne, St Kilda, or the other way into the CBD and to wherever you want to from there; or you can just walk into the CBD quite easily. It is a one minute walk from the 109 Port Melbourne - Box Hill tram, the 12 Victoria Gardens - St Kilda (Fitzroy St) tram and the 96 St Kilda Beach - East Brunswick tram at the 125-Port Junction/79 Whiteman St (Southbank) stop.

The easiest way to get to Cityside from anywhere is to get a taxi, Uber or Ola ride; including from Tullamarine Airport. Alternative transport from the airport is also relatively easy; take the Skybus from outside the airport terminal to Southern Cross train station in downtown Melbourne, then hop on Tram No. 96 a short way down Spencer St, or if it's a long wait till the next tram, you can take Tram No. 109 at the end of Collins St at the bottom end of the station. Get off at 124A-Casino/MCEC/Clarendon St. It's a very short walk down to 79 Whiteman St (with the trams and narrow park on your right) to the Rivergarden Condos building. Very early and late arrivals require the following fees to have someone there at these times: 6:00am - 9:30am & 6:00pm - 9:00pm will be charged at $25.00; 9:00pm - 6am will be charged at $60.00 Very early check-in can only be secured well in advance by either booking the night before, or by paying an extra half-day rate; depending on the time of arrival.
