Mike and Zivile's property is an absolute dream! Their casita has a pleasing ascetic and provides everything you need during your stay. We stayed in their place for nearly two and half months. During our time there, both Mike and Zee were incredibly helpful and provided appreciated insight of surf, food and everyday knowledge of Nica! They went above and beyond to help us whenever they could all summer long! The Balta Varna property is beautifully lush and serene. They are located on a hill with a peak of the ocean and a breeze. Zee leads yoga classes a few times a week under their rancho and organizes other health related retreats that guest's are welcome to join. We will be back to Balta Varna next time we visit Nicaragua!

The property is beautifully landscaped with lots of trees for shade. The house is new and clean with everything you would need for a long stay. The A/C works great and the Wi Fi is fast. I was there for 1 month and had an amazing time. Mike and Z are great hosts and are happy to help with any questions.They recommended some great food places and have the area dialed in. Mike was able to help me get a motorcycle rental and showed me some surf spots. The yoga classes I took with Z on the rancho were super helpful for me to stretch out from sore back muscles. (Lots of surfing)! I am typically not a yoga person but Z was very helpful and made me feel very comfortable. It also helps that the view from the rancho is amazing.

First time to Nicaragua and it was awesome. House has everything you need for a longer stay, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, spacious sleeping loft and comfortable bed, a private patio for outdoor seating, good WiFi. The house we stayed in was stylish, clean and comfortable. The house was close to the beach about 15-20 min by foot. This place was really amazing! Would definitely recommend.

The small houses are lovely and very functional. Plenty of space, a fully equipped kitchen, bright, airy and to top it off a veranda with a sea view. The wifi is very fast, which is a real bonus. Mike and Z are mellow and caring hosts. Both are very friendly but respect your space which makes it a magical place to chill. We're definitely going back!

Balta Varna is a truly beautiful and serene property. It is located in the hills above some of the areas most beautiful and best surfing beaches but don't let it's non beachfront location deter you. The grounds are stunning with beautiful old growth trees and papayas, mangos and others you can pick and enjoy when you are there. Plus it's orientation allows for wonderful cooling breezes and it is only a short walk or drive to the beach. The cabinas are stylish and fully equipt but the atmosphere is very laid back and comfortable. The proprietors are gracious, welcoming and lots of fun. They are happy to entertain you and give you lots of useful information about things going on in the area - but they aren't at all intrusive so you can have a very private and secluded stay too. The value was great! Price was less than any local hotel or other rental house! We would definitely stay again!

I absolutely loved my stay at Balta Varna. Close enough to the beach strip but far enough to relax and catch evening mountain breezes. The property is extremely well maintained and beautifully landscaped. The home is newly built, extremely clean and an excellent layout. There were 4 of us who stayed there and we did not feel like we were on top of each other. We also enjoyed the open kitchen/living room layout. The host were attentive to our needs and informative but otherwise gave us our privacy. I have stayed at numerous places in and near Guasacate beach and this was by far one of my favorite spots. I will most definitely be visiting again soon!

Ziville and Mike have created such a lovely tropical space.. colorful casitas in a beautiful winding garden, tucked away in the hills overlooking the ocean. The house we stayed in was stylish, clean and comfortable. No detail was spared. They helped us organize taxis and gave us great tips on where to eat and go to the beach. The surfing is great in this area and the house is a few minutes drive to the beach. Super easy! And the beautiful open air shala was a great place to do some yoga. One time, Ziville lead a fantastic practice. So zen. Everything about our stay was fantastic. I’ll definitely stay at Balta Varna with Mike and Z again!!

Highly recommended place. Easy to go to any beach from there, calmed, stylish, clean and nice installations. Owner the most helpful and kind! Would recommend highly and would repeat!
