Just got back from a 9 night stay at Caye Villas complex- in Costa Caye Villa. The location north of town was perfect. 20 minute golf cart ride to San Pedro, 20 minute drive to Secret Beach. Small Grocery store really close, a few close restaurants. 7 Minutes to Tipsy Lobster, D'Local, Sol Cafe. Damian the on site caretaker was awesome. When I asked him, he provided fresh coconuts from the property and opened them for us. Always around if we needed anything, or to give advice on restaurants/activities/beach clubs, never really had any issues with the house. The resident German Shepherd "Rocky" adopted us, sleeping on the landing outside our door, lounging with us by the pool and going on many beach walks. The house has 3 very nice bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, huge showers, plenty of hot water, a very well appointed kitchen, nice eating area, living room with TV, beautiful deck with hammock, great ocean and pool view. Comfy pool loungers, great place to read or chill around the pool. We took Kayaks out towards the reef for great snorkeling. Complex was very quiet, even with all units rented, we usually had the pool to ourselves. Bicycle burrito guys come by every morning selling breakfast burritos and tamales, very reasonably. Absolutely no negatives about this property. This was our first trip to Belize, and the location of this villa was perfect, we would definitely visit again if we have the opportunity. Any of the five villas in the Caye Villa complex would be an awesome place to spend a vacation.
