This home is everything they advertise. Our family had an amazing stay and would definitely stay here again. The groundskeeper and his wife went our of their way to make this an amazing stay. They prepared amazing food for our entire family. It was a week of paradise.

Returning from an incredible week staying with Janice and the Esmeralda Del Mar group! amazing property, location and care. Benjamin is really a wonderful home attendant and did an phenomenal job tending to the property all week. He even made us fresh banana bread every morning to be included with the fresh tacos and tamales every morning that come by the house for purchase! The docks are a short boat ride away from some of the best fishing in the world. As a traveling angler, rarely do your guides pick you up and drop you off in your backyard! Absolutely a dream come true. The rental also helped us acquire golf carts for our stay which they had positioned at the home upon our arrival. Additionally coordinating our flights with tropic air and taxi from the San Pedro Terminal to Esmeralda Del Mar. I really cannot recommend this property enough and hope to be lucky enough to return back one day soon! Gracias Equipo de Esmeralda Del Mar para todos! Una perfecta semana contigo! Te veo pronto!

The property was excellent and just far enough away from downtown San Pedro to feel isolated yet close enough to jump into the local flavor when called. The property was very clean and well kept with lots of options for entertaining. Having golf carts a must if you want to get out but nice to have a local restaurant within walking distance. The home has a pier which is super convenient for fishing, diving or boat activity as they will pick you up at the house. We highly recommend this property and Ambergris Caye.

What an incredible-spiritual journey, in one of the most beautiful country-sides I’ve ever been to. From the beginning, when exploring properties for my best friend’s Bachelor party, Esmeralda Del Mar quickly rose to the top of our list. Upon my initial inquiry, in less than 24/hours, I received a response from Patricia and Janice with Reef Management. After a tad bit of research, I was convinced there was nothing like this piece of paradise, and upon introducing the location to the group, we were instantly in love with this beautiful property. Once we officially committed, Janice immediately went to work, researching dependable vendors to charter the specific excursions we wanted. All we needed to do was show up. Upon arriving in Belize City, Janice saw to it that one of our group travelers had dinning options at the Blue Water Grill, until we all arrived. Once we did, we all boarded Tropic Air together and landed in San Pedro. Janice arranged our arrival and departure ground transportation with Reinaldo Beltran. He was energetic, dependable and knew the best places to frequent on the island. Reinaldo did warn us about the pot holes leading to the property, but it really didn’t bother us, once we arrived at Esmeralda Del Mar. O’h the beauty of the tropical plants, sand ladened pathways to this mesmerizing property. The 1st and 2nd floors are amazing. The photos really do this property justice. Every room had an on-suite and all of the amenities needed for your stay. The casita had the same amenities, but the best view was from the porch and pool, steps away from the Caribbean. Once settled, Benjamin (housekeeper) made sure our stay was stress-free. On two occasions, he and his bride made a feast for the ages. Would highly recommend that they cook for a 2nd floor meal, when the retractable doors can be opened to the sea…. So beautiful! Our excursions where handles by Brian at Castaway Caye. Deep Sea fishing was successful and fed us for two of the four days we stayed. Kevin and Eli (fishing guides) made the trip so much fun. We had a chance to visit a few islands and explore a few awesome Shoppes and eateries. On our next experience, we took a trip inland back to Belize City to travel to the Xunantunich Mayan Ruins, preceded by Xibalba Cave Tubing. Charlie was our guide, and an awesome history teacher of this beautiful country. A final day at Secret Beach was dampened by rain, but we’re planning a 2024 trip back to Belize!

We travelled to Belize as a family of 3 adult siblings with spouses. First, the house... Beautiful and perfectly appointed! Loved the local art throughout! Having a king suite for each couple is essential for our group and we were ALL very comfortable with as much privacy as needed. Where this house is situated on the beach is perfect with beautiful landscaping and amazing sunrise views! The house had everything we needed for cooking and entertaining. Having a SONOS speaker for streaming our own music was a definite plus! The only reason the TV's ever went on was for watching the MLB playoffs (GO Astros!!!) Plenty of room inside and out for all of our shenanigans! Pool time and kayaking were wonderful! We noticed halfway through our stay that the dining set downstairs is actually weatherproof patio furniture which was perfect for moving outside when needed. Truly... the house is perfect! Having a caretaker onsite was such a blessing! Benjamin and Adi are a beautiful couple with 2 beautiful children whom we thoroughly enjoyed getting to know. We invited them to join us for a meal that they cooked for us on the last night and we couldn't have had a better time! The food was delicious! We booked a few excursions through Clinton (Ali Mermaid Adventures) and had a fantastic time with many memories and pictures to take home with us. We flew over to the mainland to do the zip-lining, cave tubing and Mayan ruins. It was a full day of adventures with Manuel, our guide, and Larius(?) our driver who were both a delight and so knowledgable. We were sad to say goodbye to them at the end of the day. In San Pedro we set up a couple of days of snorkeling various reefs, fishing, and a beach BBQ (complete with lobster and the fish that we caught. We had the best times with Clinton and his son, Omar, and highly recommend them for any excursion you may want! Pre-trip communications and planning with both Janice and Clinton were very thorough and all that we needed to help us feel assured that our trip would start off on a positive note! We can't say enough about the amazing time that we had at Esmerelda Del Mar! Highly recommend this home for your Belize vacation!

Esmeralda Del Mar is a beautiful home, and we spent a week there with friends, all of us first-timers to Belize. Our transfer driver was there to meet us at the San Pedro airport, and it didn't take us long to unpack and start taking in the amazing views this home has to offer. Absolutely loved (a selling point for us for sure!) having 3 king bed suites that all face the water, and the beds were so comfortable! The grounds are beautifully maintained by Benjamin the caretaker, and he and his wife (Adi) cooked for us 3 times (the yellow ginger snapper was our favorite). Benjamin was friendly and helpful in every way...we definitely felt cared for...he told us he was "born for this job", and we couldn't agree more! The beach area was beautifully maintined on the property, and we were hoping/assuming that the neighboring properties would be the same...not so...lots of seaweed and trash, that made it unappealing to go for beach walks. Getting around on golf carts was an adventure for sure! Nice having a little market nearby (homemade salsa and baked goods), and we drove into San Pedro two days for lunch & shopping. We booked snorkeling and fishing trips with Clinton, and also had 2 masssage therapists to come to the house. Having WhatsApp was super helpful, for communicating with Benjamin and Janice (property manager), and we also used it to communicate with Clinton re our snorkeling trip, etc. Just needed to add the proper area code. Hurricane Lisa interrupted our stay mid-week, but EMD is built like a fortress, and we were totally safe there. It was labeled a Level 1, and Benjamin updated us often on the trajectory and what to expect. He encouraged us to get some extra groceries, as restaurants and markets would be closed. Janice came and met with us in advance of the storm to inform us of our options, which was very helpful to calm our nerves, and we chose to stay. Again, we felt very cared for! We ate fresh seafood every day...such a treat! Wish we would have bought duty free alcohol at the airport, as it's more expensive on the island. We were glad we brought as much cash as we did...easier to pay Benajmin & Adi for meals, bicycle breakfast burrito guy on the beach, massages, tips, etc. Thank you giving us a taste of island life and memories with friends!

We had an absolutely fantastic time! The property is extremely clean and well cared for. We would do it again in a heartbeat. Benjamin and his family are the best! If you want some great food, have them cook you dinner! P.s. Remember to bring your bug spray.

This amazing home is absolutely stunning! From the minute we arrived to the second we left we felt at home and well taken care of. Benjamin was a absolutely wonderful caretaker/host. He was always available for advice, recommendations, and hospitality. This home is more then beautiful, and we were pleasantly surprised with the stature and details in everything. The grounds are prestine, the amenities are next level and your feel like your on top of the world staying here. We would all recommend the is beautiful home to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay at Esmeralda del Mar. This was our first time to Belize and we appreciated Janice's help with planning the details of our trip. She also provided additional recommendations for excursions while we there. Benjamin gave us a warm welcome to the house and we looked forward to his smile everyday. He was also quick to offer us fresh coconuts to enjoy. The layout of the home was perfect for our group that consisted of three families. There was plenty of room for us to be together, play games, share meals and also relax. I hope we can go back soon and would highly recommend this house to friends and family. The house is nicely appointed for anything that you may need during your stay. Benjamin was also available if we had questions or wanted to use the kayaks that are available. We loved our time at Esmeralda del Mar and hope to visit again in the future.
