This the 2nd time we have stayed at this property! Our last stay was prior to the addition to the kitchen and the added space on the main floor. This is a fantastic property, the managers are great and were there to answer questions. The pool is always clean and big enough for everyone. Being right on the beach is wonderful for daily walks! We would absolutely recommend this property.

Everything about Los Encantos was perfect. The location was great, the house was beautiful, clean, and comfortable for our 5 guests. Kitchen roomy and well stocked. Caretakers Nevia and Harley were so friendly and helpful. The management company was very helpful. Awesome salt water pool. Our tour and fishing guides picked us up at the dock in front of the house. Rented a golf cart to get around the Caye from north to south and the house wasn’t too far from San Pedro. Breakfast burritos delivered every morning! Good restaurants within walking distance or a short golf cart ride.

PROS = Harly and Nevia are sweet and helpful as can be • the Caribbean Sea is an amazing place to snorkel • Clinton is a great guide, highly recommend him • the house is very comfortable • exploring the Mayan ruins at Xuanantunich was incredible • being picked up from the dock for water excursions is wonderful CONS = there is a brand new home going up right next door and the construction crew starts at 7am every morning except Sundays • the sea grass on the beach is stinky and you can not swim on this side of the island • because they rake up the sea grass and leave piles on the beach, the mosquitos are quite bad. We used 25% Deet bug spray and still had many, many bites • the 3 bikes on the property are completely rusted and had flat tires. Harly pumped the tires for us and then on our first ride one of the chains broke in half and we had to walk the bikes home • the golf cart cost $300 USD for the week and was horribly slow. They should use a different golf cart company. We were always passed on the road by all the other carts and our first trip into San Pedro, we got a flat tire. It takes 20 minutes to get into town.

This was a wonderful vacation, the house was amazing! Pool, Ocean, Harly and his family were the absolute best! Thank you so much for renting the house out so people like us could enjoy this perfect setting.

We fell in love with Villa Del Mar! It just seemed like the perfect setup for our group of 3 couples! The house, the staff, the location worked perfectly for our group. Every morning we would get up and sit on the deck and say to each other, "Just Another Day in Paradise!" Why was this house so perfect? There are a number or resorts north of San Pedro, but Villa Del Mar is part of the 4 house compound, Los Encantos, that shared a dock and a pool. We loved having the individual privacy of this house and the space that it provided. The house itself is beautiful and very high quality with a huge living room/dining room that opens up onto the 2nd story deck. We spent most of our time on the deck as it was a great place to watch the sunrise, look out over the water, a great place to read or just visit, and was always cooled by the easterly sea breeze. The kitchen was well equipped and we ate all our breakfasts and most of our lunches at the house. We would suggest that they add a muffin pan and a few more options of baking pans for the future. (For muffins and brownies) The two bedrooms downstairs were wonderful with King Beds and private baths. A third bedroom upstairs had a queen bed with its own private bath, and additionally there is a half bath in the living room. We were initially concerned that the couple in the upstairs bedroom wouldn't have very much privacy, but the living room is so large they were never disturbed by people in the living room. Each room has its own separate air conditioning unit and was very comfortable. The beach area is picturesque but not usable as a beach entry into the water. The water is very shallow and mucky. You need to walk to the end of the dock to get to waist high water. Its like that all along the Ambergris Caye east coast and so we really enjoyed the beautiful salt water pool. Ambergris Caye was having a massive seaweed problem while we were there and that was our only disappointment. We went diving several times and used White Sands Dive Shop and they just came and picked us up from the dock. We also spent several days at Secret Beach which is 3 miles and a very bumpy gold cart ride (25 minutes) on the west coast of Ambergris Caye. The water there was fantastic and having food and drinks delivered to your chair was heaven. The caretakers Harley and Nevia were fantastic and helped us out at very step. We couldn't have been more pleased with our short visit to Paradise.

A private slice of heaven. One of 4 villas that share a sweet salt water pool and beach front. Although you can't really swim or snorkel directly off the beach because it's kind of mucky and full of sea grass in places on this side of the caye there are spots close by you can kayak out to reef. We were well cared for by Nevia and Harley.

Thank you for sharing your amazing villa with us! This property is everything and more the owners report it to be. They are being modest by saying its a piece of paradise. It's the whole pie! The villa is large, immaculate, nicely decorated and fully stocked with everything you need for your stay. Every inch of the property is manicured from back to beach. Large comfortable beds, walk-in showers, plush towels, A/C and more! The kitchen is large and spacious with virtually everything you need to prepare your meals. Dozens of books, games and puzzles to keep you occupied between excursions. The water is warm and shallow enough to swim, wade, snorkel or fish. Ambergris Caye is a sought after destination for world class Fly-Fishing and you can do it from this very shore line! It's a fisherman's dream! The Villa is located about 4.5 miles north of San Pedro, right on the beach, making it a perfect place to stay to relax in quiet comfort and close enough to town to make trips for supplies a breeze with your rented cart (which we found very useful). Several companies in San Pedro rent these for about $50 USD/day or $200/week on average. You can also rent bicycles but why, there are bikes available at the Villa! A little grocery store is also nearby (300 meters or so), called Mata Grande, and the little restaurant beside it has the best chicken quesadilla and burrito we've ever had! (Their homemade salsa is fantastic!) The Villa caretakers Harly and Nevia are friendly and gracious. They assisted us with countless questions, advice and referrals. They have extensive knowledge of the area and go out of there way to make sure your stay is the best it can be. Besides the house keeping, Nevia is also an amazing cook! Ask about their Belizian style BBQ chicken! Many excursions can be arranged with a pick up right at your personal dock. Even the local Coastal Express water taxi service is literally at your front door. We highly recommend a trip to the Reef (second largest in the world) to snorkel or dive. The variety and quantity of marine life is out of this world! If you're a scuba diver, the "Blue Hole" is about a two hour boat ride away. We took part in a "fly-over" excursion to the Blue Hole with Tropic Air (apx. $500 USD for two), about an hour total (15 mins over the natural wonder alone), and it was worth every penny! (Very back seats are the best). We highly recommend this Villa to friends and family! It's "Unbelizable"!

The on sight management team were great. I do recommend taking advantage of a home cooked meal from Nabia and Harley was great as well. The only suggestion I have is some additional blankets. We stayed in Mid January and it was 60’s/low 70’s nights were chilly.

I stayed here for 3 weeks with my husband and two young children aged 2 & 4. First of all the villa is amazing, it is true home from home very well maintained and equipped and very very comfortable. There is an onsite caretaker Harly and his wife who were able to organise everything we wanted. We went snorkelling, fishing, kayaking, para sailing and visited many of the local bars and restaurants. We were also able to cook on site and use the BBQ. The property is 4 miles north of town but easily accessible by golf cart (60$ per day) or the local water taxi (7$ each way per person) Most afternoons were spent either lazing or playing in the pool. Prior to booking this holiday I was concerned about my two young children and how child friendly the property would be but it was just perfect so I needn't have worried. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful property with amazing views. Perfect for an Anniversary Trip for us and two other couples. The caretakers made sure we had everything we needed. Downstairs bathrooms were huge with awesome showers. The pool was almost always empty and perfect for kicking back. Property is quite a ways from the town of San Pedro, so golf cart is highly recommended. Only downside to this trip was that some beaches on the island were smelly and had lots of garbage and sargassum accumulating. Sounds like this is a relatively new problem that the island is still learning to maintain. The beach at this property was very nice and didn't ever smell. I would definitely recommend Villa del Mar to anyone searching for a relaxing getaway!
