What we find best about this rental is that it is in a 10 unit complex, with residential rentals and owners on site. Our on site bar, Coco Loco's is a popular hang out for friends and family. We have a weekly Cribbage tournament and a weekly Trivia Night. It is the perfect location to be close to the action in town, but have a quiet respite to come home to.
I visited Ambergris Caye for my 35th birthday. I had a few friends who traveled and celebrated with me. I really wanted to find a hotel or condo that could house us all. When I found this property online, I thought...Nah this can't be right. It seems too simple to book and to have the reassurance that if it wasn't what we thought it was, we could get our money back with Trip Advisor. But, it was great! The neighbors were so friendly. We had everything we needed. I even started looking at the possibility of purchasing one of the condos. I had a blast! I plan to return to Belize and will look at staying at this property again. Thanks for making my birthday memorable. 😊

Perfect Location!
We were a short trip into San Pedro for food, etc. but on the north side of the bridge where we enjoyed the quiet pace. The condo was very spacious with a fully equipped kitchen. The blender was well used during our 2 weeks! We found that eating in restaurants and all the lovely little beach bars was very reasonable, so we only had our breakfast and snacks at the condo. Our view of the pool area and ocean was amazing. The little bar at the pool was a friendly, fun place with daily activities such as cribbage and trivia. We had some water trouble during our stay (lack of water) which I'm told is common to the island. The unit we rented could use some updating and perhaps some brighter decor to give it a bit more of a tropical welcome feeling! Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Bermuda Palms!

Great location, with very nice pool and swim up bar
I've been coming to San Pedro every year since 1989 and after spending an afternoon at the Coco Loco swim up bar last year, decided to stay here for our first time ever North of the bridge. There were four of us and we had plenty of room . The condo is very well maintained and we had no complaints.
Cheryl picked us up at the airport and had my case of beer in the fridge as requested. The only problem we had was the living room tv not working which Newell replaced the next day with a brand new one.
Rented a cart for the week and took it to Secret Beach which is a 45 min. very bumpy ride off the main road but the most beautiful beach you will see in A.C.
We ate at the Truck Stop and the Dive Bar a couple of times, and 2 of my all time favorites Calientie's and El Patio. Thanks to Cheryl and Newell for being the perfect host's.
Look forward to returning and very much enjoyed our stay.

First time to Belize
I had never been to Belize so I did not know exactly what to expect. Cheryl (Property Manager) was great. There is a book in the condo with lots of helpful tips and all of her suggestions were top knotch. The condo is on the sea wall with a nice beach area to recline. We got to the island late. Terry with coconut carts met us at the airport with clean carts and cold lavender infused towels to wipe off the travel.
I had stayed in larger resorts in the past so I did not know exactly what to expect in a private condo. The Belizian plumbing code is pretty lax so the water pressure can be sketchy, leaving you stranded for a bit waiting on it to come back. The condo door does open outward. As Cheryl says " it is Belize". The condo is super convenient to downtown San Pedro. You can be on front street in a few minutes. That is a plus. North of the bridge is quiet and many good cafes north of the bridge.
The unit is three bedroom however the third bedroom is screened off with a partition so privacy for adults may be less than expected. Perfect for kids and youngsters but young recently marrieds may be disappointed.
All in all. I would book this unit again. Convenient, clean and well maintained.

Good, not great!
The condo was hard to find as we arrived after dark and the the unit is not numbered and the stairwell has no lights. After much fumbling in the dark we realized that the door opens outwards!! Since it was Xmas eve the manager was not on duty.
The condo was on the beach with pool as advertised. It came with the basic supplies like water, TP, and paper towels. The kitchen also had enough utensils if you wished to cook. BUT, the living room is small and seats only 3 comfortably. There are only 2 chairs in the balcony and quite an inconvenience for us as we were three people! To enjoy the ocean breeze you need to sit by the sea wall as there are loungers for the condo occupants. There is also a bar Coco Locos on the property.
The two upstairs bedrooms are served by one wall AC unit which did NOT work the entire time we were there! We were ok with the fans as the weather was not very hot but this could be a major problem if you come when it is hot! During the daytime it was stifling up there!
We also had one half day of no water as the pump broke, but it was fixed by the afternoon. Water pressure is very low all the time.
We paid double rates since it was holiday time and definitely felt we didn't get our money's worth!

What do you say about Belize! Culture shock for sure. I was on a Real Estate Business trip and the 2 others with me are fisherman/divers so they had a blast. I just laid in the sun and relaxed and enjoyed learning new culture. The unit was absolutely amazing. It was very private and would accommodate 3 couples. Its set up pretty private. My 1st big suggestion to you is PAY MONEY TO ADD A SUITCASE to bring with you and pack nothing but food. Groceries are VERY expensive($7US for a bag of chips, $6US half gallon milk etc...) bring tuna, pnut butter/jelly, small microwave meals, coffee, powder creamer, Splenda, pepper if you are a cooker, seriously, it will save you hundreds $$ on eating. Elvi's Cafe is AMAZING and $250 for golf cart (can be a credit card but gas is $6US gallon and has to be paid cash) go get fresh bread and pastries and leave them as a daily snack. Anna's Bakery (opens at 4pm daily) get the Chicken Dip OMG DELISH! (buy the $9bz size). If you want to go fishing, other parts of the island, snorkeling etc...go to the bar outside and ask for Ali. You can hire him for the day and will pick you with his boat up right outside your unit. BUY ALCOHOL DUTY FREE at the airport TRUST ME! Expensive 3x our prices)on the island! Bring DEET for mosquitos. Bring a blow up float if you have the room. You can leave it behind for the next visitors. Just enjoy the beauty! The views! The friendly people! Remember you are in a poor country and just live for the moment. Not so good AC, little hot water (they pay 10cents a gallon so be sparingly) but its not horrible. The atmosphere makes up for the kinks. Loved Belize! Loved Nacho (cutie pie that takes care of the place). He will help you with anything to make your stay perfect.

Our stay at Bermuda Palms was great!
Cheryl and Newell were amazing hosts. They picked us up at the ferry, arranged for our golf cart, set up great diving (local through Chuck and Robbie's, Blue Hole through Amigos Del mar), snorkeling (lMexican Rock and a drift snorkel through Searious) and sailing/snorkeling (Coral Gardens, Shark Alley, Hol Chan Marine Reserve with No Rush) all of which were fantastic! When the WIFI didn't work in the unit, they got a repair person in right away to fix it.
We really liked the location. We could walk into town and to the local grocery. The snorkel and dive boats all picked us up right at the local docks. The little pool with the swim up bar was nice. And the condo was very nice - the neighbors were very friendly.

A very nice spot, close to San Pedro -- great time!
We enjoyed our 3 days here! Convenient to town (walking or biking). Cheryl was uber helpful -- transporting us to/from ferry/airport, arranging a reef trip with Lil Alphonse, making general suggestions! Condo was very nice and well equipped -- had everything we needed! Fun to also play Bar Jenga at Coco Locos! A great stay -- thanks so much!!

Comfortable and convenient
We came here on our first trip to Belize with adult children to enjoy the Christmas holiday and stayed 10 days. The property was clean, comfortable and convenient. The size was excellent for up to 5 adults (2 couples+1). Six adults would begin to push it. The kitchen was fine. The place is in a small modern condo with a small pool next to the ocean. There is a nice balcony looking over palms to watch the surf. You can swim from the sea wall (though it is very shallow) or walk 1/4 mile to a sand beach. The downtown bar, etc., area is 1/2 mile away easy walk. For extended stays I recommend renting a golf cart so you can get to some of the other bars and restaurants though you have to pay a toll each time you go over the bridge. The agent Cheryl couldn't have been more helpful by meeting us at the ferry and getting us set up. She even helped us set up lodging at our next stop in Belize and helped with local tour/snorkeling advice. We had a great Christmas potluck with local ex-pats and visitors. There were several TVs in the place and decent cable, free wifi to keep the kids happy, a bar next to the property on the beach for evening (or earlier) libations. Don't expect serious snorkeling off the property; the reef is too far and across a power boat lane. Snorkeling day tours can be set up. Don't expect the advertised bikes; that can be rented downtown if desired. Don't expect a washing machine; Cheryl can arrange 24 hour turnaround from a local laundry. There was some extra snorkeling gear in the place which proved useful. We enjoyed Belize a lot and this made for a good place to camp if you like to try the bars, restaurants, local color, and day trips.

Thank you for the nice write up and compliments. I am glad we could help make your time in Belize enjoyable! I am not sure where you saw the advertised bikes. There were two at one time, but they were taken off the amenities list quite some time ago. Very difficult to maintain bikes in the salt and humidity. We found guests liked the rented bikes much better. A washing machine is also not listed as an amenity. It is available for longer term rentals, but for short stays like yours it is not. This is due to water being such a precious resource on the island. Would love to have you join us again! Cheryl

Perfect Location and Wonderful Property
I traveled with a friend to Ambergris Caye August 9 - 16. Between us we had been there 7 times so we are somewhat familiar with the lay of the land. The location of the condo is perfect. It's close to town, just over the bridge but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. The best part is that it is full of folks living there, and mostly full timers especially since it's August and not "high season". It's great to be around so many expats (and locals), as opposed to just other tourists, because these residents know where to go, what to do, and who to ask for whatever you need. Cheryl, the manager (and her awesome husband Newell and dog Cooper) could not have been more welcoming and friendly. They were helpful with itinerary ideas and with anything that had to do with the condo. The pool is steps away from the condo and don't even get me started on the awesome swim up bar attached to that pool called Coco Locos. That's where you'll meet the friendliest people on Ambergris Caye! I would recommend this place to friends and family and would definitely stay here again thanks to the warm and friendly vibe we got while there.

Bermada Palms is 200 m of north of San Pedro, in a Tres Coco area on Ambergris Caye. There are several restaurants, lounges and bars in the area. There is also a grocery store right behind the condo. Transportation is generally walking, bikes, golf cart or taxi. It is a 20 minute walk from the property to the center of town. Bikes and golf carts can be rented. Golf carts are recommended to take advantage of seeing most of the island.
