Our daughter got married in Guatemala last week. We were happy to find this group of houses together. As our guest list grew so did your needs. We actually ended up renting a 5th house next door and an additional one outside of the complex. The set up was perfect. Having a common courtyard that connected the homes with a beautiful pool and hot tub was great for sitting out in the morning for breakfast and catching up after a day of exploring. The wedding took place on the 4 day of our 5 day stay. Because of the way the housing was arranged everybody knew each other by this time, which made their visit and our wedding all the more meaningful. This would not have been possible had we rented rooms in a hotel. As for the accommodations themselves, each home was beautifully decorated and well maintained. The cleaning staff was delightful and very attentive. The guards were friendly and our guest who had not been to Guatemala felt safe in the neighborhood. The communication with Flor was easy through email and all questions were answered promptly. The location is in a quite area of town close to the market and easily walkable to the main square and restaurants. Antigua is a beautiful city. I would highly recommend these homes, especially if you have a large group for any occasion. This was a once in a life time event for our family and much of the ease and enjoyment came from our accommodations

A nuestra llegada, nos esperaba pan de banano y jugo recién hecho. Es una casa muy acogedora y limpia. Las camas son cómodas. La cocina muy limpia solo que sería bueno que la equiparan con más trastos para cocinar. La señora Mayda (cocinera) se llevó un 100 con el Jocon que nos cocinó! Flor, la encargada de la casa muy atenta también. Los de seguridad son muy atentos y siempre nos hicieron sentir seguros dentro del complejo. Sí, tuvimos visitas y solo les confirmamos los nombres a los de segurad y los dejaron pasar. Definitivamente, regresaré a esta casa!

On the way to my daughter's wedding in San Marcos at Lake Atitlan, I rented two of these huge condos for a four night stay in Antigua. I didn't realize we would have such security. There are multiple condos within a guarded/gated compound. The security booth was manned 24/7. Then there were huge wooden doors leading into a four condo area, and then our condos...so, there were three secure areas to get through to reach the inside of our two story condo. The condo was a lot larger than my Austin, Texas home...with four bedrooms and four bathrooms. We had the pool and hot tub to ourselves at night. I just loved every minute of it. I would like to live there if I could!

We stayed for three nights. The owner had a beef with the guards of the compound, and so the guards refused to let us enter. They would not allow our shuttle drivers to go in and out, and we had to walk to our place with our bags. EVERY time we wanted to enter the compound, we had to call the lovely manager Flor so she (or the equally lovely alternative guard Magno) could go to the door to let us in. This was a terrible inconvenience. We had to wait while the guards sat at their posts, ignoring us. Then, the guards tried to extort $40 from us to open the doors. After we refused to pay them, they were nasty and muttered under their breaths at us, even though we have no idea what their problem with the owner is. I speak Spanish and have traveled to Guatemala since 1991. Never have I been treated so disrespectfully. Guatemalan people are lovely, but until the owner figures out the guard situation, I would not recommend this house.

Fue nuestra primera experiencia con Airbnb y quedamos completamente satisfechos con el lugar y la atención recibidas! Nos recibieron con un delicioso pan de banano y pasamos un fin de semana cómodo y tranquilo... la ubicación es excelente aunque en realidad no es necesario salir, teníamos planes pero nos sentimos tan a gusto que decidimos quedarnos y disfrutar del lugar. Muy recomendado!

All of those in our family of 15, ages 9-85, have traveled extensively to many different parts of the world, but our stay here was one of the best we have ever had. We enjoyed this stunning location for Thanksgiving week and our stay could not have been better. As one of our family said, this raises the bar for our future travels! The pictures don't do the accommodations justice and they don't reveal the personal attention and care given to them by everyone involved in their operation. The houses, though new and with plenty of modern conveniences, are spacious and architecturally beautiful replicas of colonial residences that fit perfectly into the local environment. The greenery, the volcanic scenery, the pool, heated by solar panels, and the hot tub were enjoyed by all. Located in a quiet gated community, the residences are within an easy 10 minute walk to the center of town, historical sites, a grocery store, a bakery, a barbershop, and many little shops with lots of treasures. Philippa, the owner, could not have been more hospitable, and her staff, including the friendly housekeepers, Magno, the jack-of-all-trades, and Flor, the attentive hostess and administrative assistant responded quickly and warmly to every question. A suggestion made on the website to contract with a local cook was one which we all thoroughly enjoyed, more than we could have imagined. The authentic cuisine prepared nightly by Mayda and her daughters was scrumptious, abundant, and beautifully and lovingly presented. She offered ideas for menus, did all the purchasing, preparing, serving and clean-up. I only wish we could have copied her recipes. Our stay here was literally awesome. We were all sorry to leave, but can't wait to go back. I cannot recommend the residences highly enough. If you get a chance to stay here, don't miss it!

A great place to be for a stay in Antigua especially if your family is big. It is vefy spacious and the swimming pool is a plus. The environment is quiet even if it is situated close to the center of Antigua. From there you can easily reach all Antigua points of interest. The fact it is part of a condominium brings more safety too. We all loved this house.

We just returned from our second visit to Antigua, Guatemala and stay in this beautiful villa! It is WONDERFUL! The accommodations are excellent, and the staff is attentive and readily available. It is the perfect place for our group of 8, with 4 bedrooms, 3 of which have one large bed, and the other with twin beds. Also has 4 bathrooms. Plenty of space in the common areas, and it includes a full sized fridge, washer/dryer unit, and dishwasher. The location (on the SW side of old Antigua) is great for us as we have a vehicle. Walking to the market, Central Park, and other great sites would be a breeze. Some sites might be a little far to walk, but tuk-tuks and taxis are readily available, and I'm sue the friendly guards at the front gate of the community would be happy to call one for you. We will be returning next year for sure!!

Great place and a very attentive owner. The check in was smooth and everything in between was very self explanatory. The housekeepers and chefs are amazing! The place was always clean and the food was authentic and delicious. The pictures are accurate and show the place just as it is. I highly recommend this place. The only two improvements I could suggest is have better wifi coverage on the ground floor (if possible) and finally since the water isn't potable, there should always be a couple extra blue water jugs available for the duration of the stay. Again, what a great place and an awesome value for a large family.

It's nice, but somehow they miss on some details to make things easy... you have to buy toilet paper and water.... and the hot water heaters run out of gas, while you are using them and you have to hunt some down to change the gas tank. Seems they could add a little to cover the cost of water and toilet paper, and the staff could monitor the gas level if there was a gauge.....
