Villa Rose is perfectly located in Kalkan and a car is not necessary - everything is within walking distance. It is a short 5 minute walk to the nearest supermarket and the local weekly bazaar, and just a further 5 minute stroll through the pretty cobbled shopping streets to the picturesque harbour with its many fabulous restaurants. The villa is tastefully decorated with all you will need for a perfect holiday. It is well equipped with all the comforts of home including broadband, wifi, Smart 40” TV with hundreds of channels, DVD player, wifi music system/CD player, board games and reading books. All rooms have air conditioning. The ground floor is spacious with a large sitting room, dining area, fully equipped kitchen and a cloakroom. Two sets of sliding patio doors open out on to the large terrace area and swimming pool, with views over Kalkan bay. The first floor consists of two large spacious bedrooms with own balconies overlooking the pool - one bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower room, and the second bedroom with twin beds and en-suite shower room. The 2nd floor bedroom also has a king size bed with its own en-suite with jacuzzi bath, and opens out on to the roof terrace with stunning views over the bay. A further two put-up beds are available if required. Outside you can enjoy the private gardens with its many flowers, fruit trees and beautiful landscaping. The private swimming pool enjoys the sun all day long and has sweeping walk-in steps and a good depth for swimming. For anyone who likes to visit out of season or early or late season (when the weather is still warm, but the pool on the cooler side) the pool can be heated upon request at an additional cost. There are 8 sunbeds for sunbathing. The terrace has a semi shaded pergola to enjoy alfresco dining with a dining table for 8 people, and a luxury outdoor sofa seating area which is a perfect retreat from the full sun, along with the hammock under the shady trees. About the neighbourhood
Kalkan is a town on the Turkish Mediterranean coast. It has area many historical sites and many wonderful sandy beaches. Kalkan is an old fishing town, and the only safe harbour between Kas and Fethiye; it is famous for its white-washed houses, descending to the sea and its brightly coloured bougainvilleas. It averages 300 days of sunshine a year. Until the early 1920s, the majority of its inhabitants were Greeks. They left in 1923 because of the Exchange of populations between Greece and Turkey after the Greco-Turkish War and emigrated mainly to Attica, where they founded the new town of Kalamaki.
