It is also in the heart of Little India (Masjid Jamek), where everyone flocks to for a taste Malaysia. On the foot, we recommend you to explore: 1) Little India One of the oldest neighbourhoods in Kuala Lumpur. Boisterous and colourful, from saris and trinkets to fabrics and local hawker food. 2) Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve It is the only remaining tropical rainforest that still stands tall in the middle of the city, it is also one of the oldest forest reserves in the country. You have a chances to see the rich variety of flora that flourishes within the forest includes rare herbs, creepers, ferns, climbers and giant bamboo grasses. The Skywalk (canopy) at Bukit Nanas features a long walkway anchored by KL Tower at up to about 20m above ground. 3) KL Tower One of World Basejump Centre. For the less adventurous, you can simply soak in the breath-taking views from the 276-metre high observation deck, or enjoy a stroll through the surrounding tropical rainforest. 4) Merdeka Square Why not join free walking tour to understand historic Merdeka Square where Malaysia’s Independence took place on 31 August 1957? Stroll around the cluster of colonial buildings here, including the iconic Sultan Abdul Samad Building & the Sessions & Magistrate Court. 4) Petaling Street (Chinatown) Petaling Street is well known for its extensive selection of stalls and bazaars selling various kinds of products ranging from handbags, watches, clothes, shoes, sunglasses, fabrics and even souvenirs. Food is plentiful here with scrumptious varieties to choose from; some of the restaurants here have been in business for generations. 5) Central Market (Pasar Seni) Whilst Central Market next to Petaling Street, is a cultural centre-cum-shopping mall and is one of the best places to witness first-hand Malaysian culture, arts and craft. Don't miss the opportunity to watch cultural performances over the weekend with their show timing to be around 7.30pm. 6) Petronas Twin Tower (KLCC) Unquestionably, KLCC is a 'must go' for all tourists from local & overseas to KL. The Sky Bridge tour is available where you can enjoy a panoramic city view below. The entire tour will take approximately 10 minutes. Suria KLCC in Petronas Twin Towers, is a popular shopping destination for both upper class locals and tourists. KLCC Park is a 50-acre garden set close to Suria KLCC shopping centre designed by Roberto Burle Marx to provide a touch of greenery for the Petronas Twin Towers and the areas surrounding it. Lake Symphony is the reason most people frequent the park; it has water fountains that can shoot water up to a height of 42m. These daily water shows occur at noon and in the evenings and are popular with kidsMore
