We stayed at this property with our parents and our 16 month old for just over a week, and had a fantastic time. The view from the terrace is even better in real life (it is very beautiful), and having direct access to the beach was wonderful (even if it was 100+ steps to get down, we felt it was good exercise!). The beach itself is beautiful and not very busy, and the neighborhood was friendly and safe, with some great restaurants nearby. It was lovely to hear the ocean from our room at the house. We also loved the pool and the outdoor seating.
There were a couple issues with the house that Dietmar was quick to help us fix (ie coffee makers and toaster weren’t working, but they quickly replaced them) and Yesenia the housekeeper also diligently helped us when things weren’t working properly (ie cable wasn’t connected, or remotes to the automatic shades needed new batteries). The water at the house stopped working a few times for hours, the cause of which was a little unclear, but ultimately didn’t affect our stay too much, and we appreciated Yesenias efforts to call in workers to fix it.
The internet is very, very bad. Whether this is a problem with the house or the region remains unclear, but do not expect functioning WiFi.
A few little things would have made our experience even better, such as a high chair for our toddler (we were very grateful for the travel crib that was provided to us though), use of an umbrella for the beach (just tough to find a place on the beach with any shade, and nowhere to rent umbrellas), a plunger in each bathroom (only one in the whole house and it did not work well), or designated beach towels (we were not permitted to use the pool towels on the beach).
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Costa Rica, and feel very lucky to have stayed at this house! Would recommend to others for sure.
