If you are looking for a great property with a large group 10 or so, this house is for you. Especially if you are wanting a direct access to a very private beach. The owner has thought of just about everything for you in this place. In fact it might be the best VRBO I have stayed at (and I have stayed everywhere in them).The house comes with an in house care taker and they clean up and make sure all goes well while you are there. The owner is also the most hands on owner I have worked with. She was a huge help in making my first trip to CR a success. I don't think there could be a more perfect house for a beach vacation! We had a wonderful time. The house easily accommodated our family including a young infant. Lisa, the host , was very caring and communicative and Herman and Blanca, who work at the house, were wonderful. The property is so well maintained and the beach is glorious! We plan to return and highly recommend it.

Casa Playa Bonita was everything we anticipated and even better. The owner, Lisa, and our family had video calls upon booking and as we approached our arrival date. She was gracious and more helpful than any owner from whom we have rented. She provided us with loads of advice on activities, dining, amenities in the house, transportation and much more. Lisa also put us in touch with the property concierge, Yoko, with whom we had several calls prior to arrival. Yoko booked restaurant reservations, excursions with transportation, in home prepared meals, COVID tests, in home massages and more for us. She was in constant contact with us during our stay via WhatsApp and cell phone calls. She was incredibly responsive. The caretakers at Casa Playa Bonita, Blanca and Herman, took care of our needs without us having to ask. Blanca cooked two meals, a breakfast and a dinner, for us and they were every bit as good as what we had in local restaurants. They kept the inside and outside of the house clean, neat and fresh. They also exuded Costa Rican charm and Pura Vida! The house and the property were spectacular. We enjoyed that all 5 bedrooms exited onto the pool and that the main house was spacious and comfortable. Amenities were plentiful not just in the kitchen but throughout the house and bedrooms. Mornings found us on the patio behind the house drinking coffee and tea after morning walks on the beach or up the mountain. Many afternoons saw us lounging on the beach or at the pool. The beach was beautiful and close to being private. Evenings found us relaxing after dinners in the pool gazebo or the main house playing board games. One evening even had a surprise retirement party. This was the second trip to Costa Rica for about half in our party and won't be our last. If you enjoy a wonderful beachfront location, an inviting house and first class service we recommend Casa Play Bonita.

Overall, this experience didn’t meet our expectations. I understand Covid has impacted many aspects of our lives, including the service industry, but there are some things where excuses shouldn’t apply. I will start with the very few positive things, and those are: location, layout of the house, access to the beach and local beach restaurant called Coco Loco that is in walking distance from the house. The layout of the house is wonderful. The house has 5 bedrooms with private baths, and each room is like a separate unit, so people may easily and independently have access to the kitchen, living room, pool, and the beach without disturbing other guests. The beach is beautiful and almost feels as if it is private, very few people, clean, secluded, but at the same time has a restaurant in walking distance from the house, which was very convenient for quick and easy lunches and/or dinners. Now, about the shortcomings of this stay…. It appeared as if the house had been vacant for a long time, and it had an awful strong musty smell. The house hadn’t been aired out, and it was almost unbearable to stay in the rooms for the very first night of our week-long stay. Since Blanca (who doesn’t speak any English) and Yoko couldn’t provide us with any solutions on how to air out this overwhelming smell, I texted the owner Lisa, who entirely ignored my message and never followed up throughout the duration of our week-long stay to find out how we were doing. The ‘concierge’ Yoko met us at the house only on the 1st day of our stay and never came by or called to see if there was anything we needed during the entire week. Prior to our departure I had requested to book a fishing trip and find out if there are any aerial photography tours available, and I never got any response on these requests. I ended up booking my own fishing trip via FishingBooker (with captain Victor and the boat named Sea Hunter 1), and we had a spectacular fishing trip! While in Costa Rica, I asked Yoko to see if I could get a tee time for my husband at the nearby golf course, to which she responded that it’s not open to the public without even checking on it. My husband called the golf course and was able to book a tee time with no issues. So, if you are a world-traveler and used to ‘true’ concierge services, please note that Yoko’s services do not qualify as concierge services, and most of the time you will be left doing the legwork yourself. So, this was our experience at Casa Playa Bonita…

Great views, service & roomy.

This is such a beautiful home and so comfortable for a weeks' stay for 10 friends celebrating a big birthday! Each room is well-appointed, the pool is a lovely place to spend time and of course the beach is just steps away. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed plus some! And the owner and concierge were invaluable in helping to plan a fun and relaxing week.

This property (and the owner) did not disappoint! It is beautiful, clean, every amenity you could imagine and...did I say beautiful! We had a pre-trip conference call with the owner, Lisa and she answered every question we had and then some. The transportation to/from the airport to the house was great and the car rental delivery to the house is worth it. Yoko did a great job making all of our reservations. It was seamless. Trust her to do a great job. Blanca and Herman were delightful and available during the day, but not at all intrusive. After cleaning the bedrooms, you don't know they're around. It was perfect. The house is very spacious, the rooms have everything you need. Each bedroom has shampoo, conditioner, (even coconut scented body wash), hair dryer, multiple type chargers for cell phones, etc., ceiling fan, AC controls, plenty of drawer/closet space, and a tv (though who would want to watch it when you're in paradise). The kitchen lacks nothing. It has an oversized bottled water dispenser that we took to refill once in 6 days (and there were 6 of us). The tap water was fine and we used it for coffee and didn't have an issue. Note: the milk at the grocery stores there is different (the type that isn't refrigerated on the store shelf--we refrigerated ours) but the people who used it said it tasted fine. We could only find one store that carried liquid coffee creamer and it cost a fortune. Might think of bringing the individual miniatures with you. There are a ton of games in the living area chest. Having never been to Costa Rica, I was a little anxious about was the safety of the area/house. After seeing the property and the surroundings, I felt absolutely safe. We walked the beach at night and sat outside late and never felt uncomfortable. Truly one of our best vacations and worth the money. I hope we get to make a return trip one day. Thank you, Lisa!
