First time staying in Playa Flamingo and we truly enjoyed our stay. Walking out on grass right to the beach was great. Having a VRBO house feel but having all the amenities of the pool, water toys, guard, and local restaurant being able to deliver to the villa was a big plus. Great for families and even though you are sharing the grounds it was never crowded.

We spent 2 weeks in Costa Rica and ended with a full week at The Palms Villa #29. We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax at the beach. The villa itself is so well stocked and comfortably decorated - from the beds to the linens to throw blankets, to fully stocked kitchen. The property staff is top notch. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of crashing waves was amazing. Mike and Julia are superb with communication and providing tips and details for the perfect stay. Our family came back to The Palms villa 29 for the second time because we knew exactly what we were getting, a beautiful villa in paradise. The kitchen is stocked with almost any tool you’d need for creating delicious frozen cocktails to a delicious family dinner. The villa is extremely comfortable and well appointed. The staff at the resort are helpful and can plan just about anything you need for your trip. It was a perfect vacation. We hope to return again and spend more time exploring the beautiful country of Costa Rica. Thank you to our super helpful hosts for sharing your beautiful villa with our family.

Vrbo review From the moment we arrived at Mike and Julia’s villa we felt welcome and well taken care of. The property staff kindly directed us to our villa and shared their contact info for any needs we might have. When we entered Mike and Julia’s home, we were impressed. Everything was spotless, high end and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked and left us wanting for nothing. The living room was comfortable, with a TV that allowed us access to Netflix, Amazon and Apple TV. The bedrooms were perfect, with soft linens, comfortable pillows and great beds. The lanai gave us a perfect place to sit when we took breaks from the beach. This property is beachfront. A few steps away from a serene, clean and quiet beach, with soft sand and unobstructed views. The lounge chairs and umbrellas are included in the pricing and were cushioned and comfy. There was enough activity to feel a part of the Costa Rican culture but enough solitude for those moments when we wanted to see and speak to no one. Morning walks on the beach we’re the best. Peaceful and pretty. We used the fitness center a few times and due to COVID restrictions, we needed to reserve our times. It was simple. A what’s app text to the concierge and within two minutes, we were given the green light. The staff was always immediately responsive. The location of the condo is also amazing. Close enough to restaurants, shops and activities. We met a guide who took us on longer excursions (and shared his contact info with Mike and Julia for anyone who might want to use him…his name is Rigo). He was so upbeat and knowledgeable and made our exploration days flawless. We also want to mention that prior to check in, Mike and Julia responded to all emails promptly. They connected us to a car rental company and individual who met us at the airport and had our car waiting for us (huge bonus and convenience). When I locked the safe in the unit and could not get in to it, Mike immediately arranged for property staff to meet me and open it. Lastly, on our final day, we needed a late checkout. We asked to stay until 3 or 4. Many owners would not have been so agreeable, but since they were able to accommodate us, they did so, graciously and easily. That meant a lot to us. We hope to be back to stay again.

We stayed at Palms 29 for 4 days in June. The place is immaculate and had everything we needed. Playa Flamingo is perfect as it has just the right amount of people, restaurants and surf. The walk on the beach is just right and the little grocery store down at the end has everything you might need for a short stay. Charter boats are just down the road in Potrero (we caught Mahi and Snapper and had the concierge send a chef over to prepare everything for us!) and a day trip to Tamarindo is super easy. Hosts are wonderful and we will for sure be back! Pura Vida!

This condo is absolutely amazing! Check in was easy. The condo is beyond clean. Cleaning service every day. The pool and beach are equivalent to a 5 star resort. The concierge (Denise) was incredible! She booked all of our excursions, dinner reservations, golf cart rentals, taxis etc. She went above and beyond to make Sure we had a great time! She was always available - day or night!! The owners provided us with 2 free beach side massages and breakfast one morning for the whole family! The beach is quaint and quiet. No loud music. We always were able to get a front row seat overlooking the beach. Overall fantastic experience!!!!!

We have been to Costa Rica several times and stayed in over 30 different places. Villa 29 is above and beyond the best place to go if you need to relax and unwind. It is even more beautiful than we could have imagined. First of all, the location is so rare in Costa Rica, there are very few places like this with an infinity pool practically on a pristine, white beach. The views from the Villa at sunset are enough to make you forget any of your problems. The grounds are impeccable and the staff are so friendly. The Villa itself has everything you could possibly need. The furniture is the most comfortable I have encountered anywhere I've ever vacationed. The kitchen is so well-stocked, especially for families travelling with young kids (sippy cups, reusable straws, plastic plates and glasses). There is even a garbage disposal for your organic waste! The fridge is enormous, and the ice-maker is fantastic for drinks by the pool. The beds were so comfortable our whole family slept well every night. The lighting deserves its own review, endless combinations for reading, watching TV, dim lights for little ones to find the washroom at night. Mike and Julia's attention to detail was much appreciated. Coffee, milk, spices and kitchen essentials were all at the ready. Complementary sunscreen, bottles of water and all the streaming services available to entertain kids and adults alike were very convenient! There was even a collection of kids toys and books for my 4 year old to play with! We had a wonderful, unforgettable time at The Palms. It is like a little community, we made so many friends.
