Maximiliano’s home is perfect for a larger family getaway. It sits up from the beach and has incredible views all around. The beach is just a 2 minute walk away. The home is nicely decorated and very clean! The bunk room actually has 4 queen size bunk beds which was perfect for my son and wife with 2 young children. The property has a pool and a jetted tub that we all enjoyed. Reynaldo the house manager is absolutely wonderful and is such a hard worker. Maxi was very helpful in setting up transportation to places and suggestions for things to do and see. The area of flamingo is quite small and very peaceful so not really in a big tourist area. So if you’re looking for more action then you have to plan your days out and travel for other activities. We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Pelicano and the Costa Rican people. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful stay with our group at Casa Pelicano, exactly as pictured and more. The views are amazing, great for lounging by the pool and nice setup for outdoor dining. Great bunk bedroom for the kids. Having Reynaldo, the housekeeper, there was an extra bonus. You will love this house!

We just returned home from this amazing home and I already miss it. It is updated and pristine. Reynaldo is the house keeper and is wonderful. Max was extremely helpful with activity/ food suggestions. We had 4 adults and 6 kids in our group and had plenty of space. The outdoor area and view were fabulous. Rent this place now, you won’t be disappointed, we can’t wait to go back. Splurge on Dania, the in home chef, she is wonderful.

The house and property were absolutely beautiful and pictures don’t do it justice. Max was super quick to respond and help setup several excursions for us (fishing, jet skiing, horseback riding, babysitter, and private chef). Reynaldo (housekeeper extraordinaire) was an awesome bonus-both are 5 stars and made this international trip unforgettable! There was plenty of room for 6 kids ages 8-10 and 6 adults to spread out and not be on top of each other. The house had everything you’d need and more when on vacation. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you for letting us enjoy your wonderful home!

I often roll my eyes at reviews that proclaim "not enough stars to give!" but I've got to say it- concerning our stay at Casa Pelicano, there really aren't enough stars to give. We've been fortunate to stay in many, many places around the world, and this is one of the top luxury stays we've been able to experience. The property is stunning, and pictures somehow don't do it justice. Immaculately clean, brand new, every luxury considered, and with dramatic ocean views at every turn. Communication with the owner was excellent- Max had a golf cart at the property awaiting our use, arranged a massage at the house for me, and offered plenty of recommendations. One of my primary hesitations in booking a home rental when traveling abroad is that I may miss the service of a hotel concierge. No need to worry about that here, as Max is able and eager to help with anything. The shining star of our trip was Sr. Reynaldo, who kept the home fantastically clean (even with our two small kids!), did all our laundry, and anticipated anything we could need. Both kids (and us!) were so sad to leave him on our last day. Huge thank you to Max & Reynaldo for making our holiday incredible. If this home is available, book it. You won't be disappointed.

We stayed at Max’s place the middle of March 2022. From the minute we walked thru the door, we were blown away! We had 3 families, 6 adults and 7 kids ranging in age from 4-9. The accommodations were perfect. A room for each set of adults with a pull out bed in one of the rooms for the youngest child. The bunk bed room was a huge hit with the other kids and close to the kitchen, so they could wake up and head to the kitchen with their iPads without waking the adults or others. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need - including a ton of kid friendly dishes and cups. We mostly did take out, but had we cooked, we could have made gourmet meals! We also loved the outdoor areas for eating and having a little bit of separate space to relax. Reynaldo keeps the house and outside areas so clean! His attention to detail is impeccable! He did some laundry for us, cleaned up after the kids ate and made our beds. We were so appreciative of him. Now the pool area and views! Omg - breathtaking 270 degree views of the sunset. I think I took about 200 pics of just the sky! Our kids loved the pool (so warm) and we were happy we had a nice area to sit with a cocktail and watch them swim. The location of this place is so great. Very close to Coco Loco (can walk via beach at low tide) and also close to Playa Flamingo town area and Potrero. Max helped us rent golf carts to get around which made it so fun and easy. Max also coordinated our transportation to and from the airport, answered any and every question we had about the area and provided a great list of restaurants to try! It was truly an exceptional stay! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us. We miss it already and will be back! One of the best vrbos I’ve ever stayed in!

What the listing doesn’t convey is the sound of the waves against the rocks below the property, or the feel of the breeze, or the out-of-body experience watching the sunset everyday. This place is truly special.

Outstanding villa has high-end furnishings and gourmet kitchen. The villa owner Max and his housekeeper, Raynaldo, were amazingly gracious, hospital and accommodating. We came with a group of friends to celebrate my 60th birthday and couldn’t believe the comfort, convenience and location of this villa. The spectacular beach was a three minute walk away. The infinity pool and deck allowed us to watch a perfect sunset every evening. Playa Flamingo is among the finest beaches in Costa Rica (clean, gentle waves, shade, soft sand with a great little restaurant Coco Loco) We would return in a heartbeat. Probably the nicest villa we’ve ever rented!

We loved staying at Casa Pelicano - it was one of the finest vacation homes we've ever experienced. Maxi is very responsive and helpful with check in and gave a great list of things to do while we were in Costa Rica. The house is spectacular, totally updated and modern. The outdoor area is amazing, we loved spending time on the deck watching the sunset every night. I can't recommend this property enough - we are already planning a trip back!

We just returned from an amazing week at the Casa Pelicano. From the moment we booked, Max (the owner) was in touch and helped us plan every detail of our trip. We have stayed at many five star hotels in the past, and Max is more impressive than any hotel concierge. He helped to coordinate our airport transfers, several chefs coming to the house, a masseuse, a yoga class, boogie boards for our kids, local restaurant reservations, and anything else we needed. The house itself is spectacular - we were three families, and the house was perfect for us. The views are amazing and the outside area is furnished so nicely we never wanted to be inside (but the inside is beautiful as well). The sunsets each night were simply incredible, and the pool set up was beautiful. The house was cleaned daily, and they even washed and folded our laundry! The beach is about a 5 minute walk away - it is a bit rocky, but it was no problem to walk there, even with our small children. Our only regret was not staying longer, and we would go back in a heartbeat. It's a five star experience in five star accommodation. Thanks, Max, for a wonderful week!
