This beautiful 18th century cottage has a large garden across from the terrace that extends right down to the shore, a wonderful place from where to watch the famous Waternish sunsets: a majestic seascape with the backdrop of the Western Isles dotted like jewels along the horizon. The cottage itself is equally as atmospheric, built in 1750 with many period features and an open fire for those cooler nights. If only the 3ft thick stone walls could speak they would tell of many a clan battle or Highland skirmish! 50 metres from the property is a 'Dark Sky' location where you can look at the incredible stars and if you are lucky see the Northern Lights.

I have been 10 days in Skye and I have all over the place it is very difficult to find better location than this cottage plus it is a really deserved 5 stars ... I have been to tooooooo many cottages all over UK and it was the first time for me that I feel home.... Never think twice this...

We have stayed in many, many holiday cottages over the last 34 years and this is definitely the most perfect! A beautiful location and a fabulous cottage. A security deposit of 75.00 GBP is also required which should be sent eight weeks prior to arrival. This can be paid together with the balance of the prepayment. This amount will be refunded in full by internet banking after departure subject to the cottage and its equipment being left in a clean and serviceable condition. Negligence causing loss or damage to the accommodation, equipment or environs, or any requirement for extra cleaning will be charged for against this bona fide payment.

Waternish is a beautiful peninsula with a number of excellent craft businesses working there. The coastal scenery is spectacular looking over to the Western Isles. Dunvegan is 8 miles away, where there is a good array of shops for your grocery needs, a couple of excellent bakeries, plus a number of cafes and restaurants. Petrol can also be obtained here. Portree is 22 miles way, the capital of Skye, certainly worth a day's trip to.
