In Brecon Beacons National Park, on Sugar Loaf slopes, Long Hare Barn stands in its own green fields, 600 feet above sea level, mountains across the valley frame the view, sunsets linger, ewes and lambs graze near. A great escape for guests, with a few walkers walking by and maybe two guests in the other cottage, but a great escape. Expect a dog free cottage. One and a half miles from Crickhowell, superb restaurants and great independent shops. Walk/ cycle/ local Information and maps included in rooms. Large towels and welsh toiletries, comfortable beds and superb cotton hand laundered bed linen, dog free cottages. Fitted kitchen boasts washer drier and large larder fridge. Family bath room up stairs. Shower down stairs, spacious kitchen, luxurious lounge. With glass doors the barn is a great place for families or a small group of friends. Washer/dryer, dishwasher, larder fridge, oven & hob, plate warmer, lawn, gravelled courtyard, bbq, parking and 200 acres to explore, maps within the barn. Walks from front door to Sugar Loaf. Conservation area. For a family needing extra bed spaces, there is an annexe which sleeps just two, and seasonal pricing would be added to the overall price sleeping five. Using email we will send much information of local walks and places to eat and ideas of things to do so guests can book before they arrive. If the guests need assistance during their stay, we will assist, but usually most guests book the barns to get away.

Raglan Castle. Trewtower Court. Three Castles Abergavenny surrounding area. Table Mountain walk. Sugar Loaf walk. Visit to Theatre Brycheiniog. Borough Theatre Aberavenny. Abergavenny Cinema. Brecon Cinema. Swim at Brecon or Abergavenny Pools. Thearea is a foodie area and a brief look on the internet will show some good places for lunch, afternoon tea or an evenning meal.
Getting around
Best way of getting around is firstly by car, or walking, or cycling. We have electric car recharging unit. Guests over 25 and holding a UK drivers licence can hire a two seater Renalt Twizzy from Tourism provides. Cycles can be hired from Cwmdu, Drovers Cycles, Hay on Wye, they will deliver with maps. Nearest Train Station Abergavenny, excellent Taxi service to Little Hare Barns, or there is a bus service from Abergavenny to the Left hand turn to the Barns along the A40. Alternatively we can collect just two guests.
