Mortimer House is a Georgian town house in the centre of Crickhowell. The house comprises 3 completely independent apartments. There is a main entrance in to the property and then each apartment has its own private entrance. No. 3 Mortimer House, recently awarded the highest 4* rating available for this category, has amazing views out over Crickhowell and the mountains surrounding it, the apartment can accommodate up to 4 guests (2 adults & 2 children) and occupies the top floor. The apartment is open plan with a double bed and a queen size sofa bed, that would suit one older child or two young children under 10. No. 3 is accessed via a private entrance on the first floor of the property. There is a separate kitchen area that is fully equipped with everything you could need including dishwasher, washing machine & tumble dryer. Then there is an extendable dining table and seating for four. Modern spacious bathroom with power shower, thick fluffy Egyptian cotton bath sheets and toiletries from Myddfai are provided. Mortimer House is furnished with a flat screen high definition internet television, with free view and iPlayer, there are also a DVD players and family DVD's along with books and selection of board games for your enjoyment. As well as free unlimited wifi throughout. The beds at Mortimer House all have memory foam mattresses, mattress toppers and 300 thread count 100% cotton bed linen with handmade blankets. Each room has tissues and a hair dryer. Outside there is private secure parking for all our guests, a lock up garage for those who want to bring bikes, fishing equipment etc. and a separate small private terrace with seating has views of Crickhowell. This is the perfect central location to come with your family or friends and enjoy all that the area has to offer. More

About the neighbourhood
The town of Crickhowell lies along the banks of the River Usk and is in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park; it is often referred to as ‘the glittering jewel of the vale’ and these days is a vibrant town with small, friendly, individual family owned shops providing not only daily essentials but interesting shops for browsing, often displaying work produced by local artisans. Just a short stroll around the town and you will see that Crickhowell has many excellent places to eat out or just have a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. Historic sites are in abundance with Tretower Court on the doorstep, Abergavenny Castle, Raglan Castle and many more are just a few miles away. How to get there
Once you arrive in Abergavenny from Newport Train Station, Mortimer House is a maximum 15 minute taxi ride to the town of Crickhowell. There are always taxi's waiting at the train station and we have had many guests visit us without the need for a car.
