Hot tub with jets for your private use just steps from your door. Efficient mini-split heating and air conditioning system. Wifi. Guest Access Great parking, just drive right up to your door. Walk the farm during day light hours. We ask that you stay on the roads. Wifi here at last! Also T-mobile and ATT customers get great cell phone reception because there's a tower nearby. The Oaks Restaurant is a couple miles away and is a rural destination for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They also have a tiny produce stand/market and frequent market events. For something a little pricier and definitely on the romantic side: down the road a bit further is Temecula Creek Inn's Cork Fire Kitchen. We've gathered a few menus from cool local restaurants and the local winery down the road a piece, they're in the room for your perusal. Most of the year there's Kenny's you-pick strawberry farm right down the road as well. You'll see small signs on Old 395 as you drive in from either direction. Absolutely awesome strawberries, pick them yourself, or buy them already harvested. Interaction with Guests Just ask if you have questions about what to see or where to go, there's so much to do in San Diego! We always respect our guests' need for privacy. Overview: The neighborhood: Little known, even to San Diegans, Rainbow, California is adjacent to Fallbrook and is right off the I-15 freeway, yet our farm seems like it's miles away from the city. Only a few minutes off the I-15, we're freeway close. 40 minutes or so to Oceanside's beautiful beaches and Carlsbad's flower fields and Legoland, and an exit south of Temecula's wine country tours, right in between San Diego and Los Angeles renowned attractions. Twenty-five minutes or so from Cal State San Marcos University, thirty-five minutes or so from San Diego Wild Animal Park in Escondido and a little over an hour to Seaworld and world famous Balboa Park. The local farmers' market is on Saturday and is 15 minutes away in Old Town Temecula...a destination in itself. We're one exit south of Temecula. Be sure to check out Temecula Olive Oil Company's tasting bar if you find yourself in Old Town. Temecula has a number of vineyards eager to showcase their wines, wine country is one exit north of us (10-15 minutes) and if you book early enough, hot air ballooning is a local wine country favorite. Getting Around No public transportation, you need a car for sure! Mountain bikes wouldn't be a bad idea! Closed toe shoes are a good choice if you intend to hike around the property. Flip flops or high heels would be sketchy. House Rules Guests are encouraged to feel comfortable with smoking outside in designated area only. We keep the farmstay unit smoke free so all guests can enjoy it without allergy issues. Maximum occupancy is 2 people in this unit. There is only one queen bed, and the coach has a hydrolic tilt-back feature and center console that doesn't allow for sleeping on it comfortably. No pets, we have enough of our own here! Please drive carefully once on-farm, we have a llama that roams freely, and he thinks he owns the road. If you'd like to interact with the chickens or goats, let us introduce you and show you how to keep barn doors secure. Bring granola bars, says Carl the Herd Leader. :) Our cats are farm crew members and keep the pest population down. Please don't allow any indoors. They'll tell you they're allowed in, that's so not true. Please don't believe them. Please do not arrive or invite unregistered guests to our farm to visit or stay. Our liability policy extends to registered guests only. We're farmers and keep farmers' hours. Please plan to arrive no later than 8:00 p.m. when checking in if this is your first visit.... or let us know ahead of time so that I may be able to arrange to have our college-aged night-owl son check you in without a problem. Do let us know! :) After check-in, we encourage our guests to come and go as they please. There is no problem at all with coming in late after check-in as your unit is totally separate from everyone else's here. Tourist License / Licencia de turismo N °: 5-2300201-19More
