The Redwood National Park is so close! And the beautiful lagoons & beaches are just across the road - a short bike ride, or longer hike. The wild elk all around are so majestic... So, come to the Stone Lagoon Cabin where you can gaze at wild elk (sometimes they are right on the property), sit by the creek, walk or ride bikes to Stone Lagoon, and explore the redwoods (close to Redwood National Park) and beaches that surround you! 1 night stays allowed for same night bookings, if the cabin is available. This cabin has 2 bedrooms, one of which is adjoining the living room and you put up a privacy screen to separate it from living room, living room, dining area, and full kitchen. A 2nd cabin is also available to rent that is about 1/4 mile down the road. It is called Peaceful Creekside C...The Redwood National Park is so close! A 2nd cabin is also available to rent that is about 1/4 mile down the road. It is called Peaceful Creekside Cabin for 2 on our website and can be helpful as an additional rental if your need to sleep more than 4. Please note that the only heat source in the cabin is wood heat. A wood stove in the living room and another in the formal bedroom will keep you plenty warm! This is a beautiful logger cabin (you can see the small holes in the floor from the tree climber spikes) and is very private and definitely off the beaten path. You are surrounded by nature and can take a nice 1.5 mile walk to the beach and lagoons, walking by herds of wild elk and beautiful horses. Horseback riding is offered about a half mile from the cabin - what a great family adventure! We do have exterior security cameras in place due to the remoteness of the cabin. Watch the Stone Lagoon Cabin on YouTube The hiking all around you is truly world class - whether through the Redwoods National Park, along the beaches of the lagoons, the trail from Dry Lagoon to Stone Lagoon along the beaches then through the woods (about 5 miles round trip), Lady Bird Johnson Grove, Tall Trees, and much more. You can do some of these walks by just walking out your door and not getting into your car - especially the Dry Lagoon to Stone Lagoon one. And for the water lovers, what a paradise! The lagoons offer great fishing, kayaking (can rent kayaks at Big Lagoon through Kayak Zaks during busier times), canoeing, Stand Up Paddle Boarding, Surf fishing, boating and sailing. Some really enjoy putting in a kayak or canoe at Stone Lagoon and paddling across to the campsite, then hiking to the beach from there. Fun annual events held locally include the Orick Rodeo which takes place in the summer, as well as the Yurok Tribe's Sumeg Village Day, a celebration of the local Native American culture held at nearby Patrick's Point State Park. The adventures are endless from this wonderful cabin, starting with looking at your window and seeing the wildlife... I honestly don’t know where to start. We loved the entire set up and it was very clean and in order for our arrival. The owners made a lot of good recommendations for places to go see, shop, and hike. We woke up the first...More

Just spent 4 glorious nights in this cozy mountain retreat. It is 1 mile from 101 but it is worlds apart. Quiet & secluded, it is perfect for relaxing. The wood-burning stoves provide more than enough heat, beds are amazingly comfortable, kitchen adequate, and more...More
