Many of our guests covet the unique experience that only we can provide. Here's why our place is so special: Different from typical 'condos' where you are surrounded by noisy tourists, parking lots and cars, our Historic cabin is one of the first and only remaining original ski cabins in Vail, dating back to the inception of the resort in the early 1960's. Riverside and secluded, surrounded by Forest Service protected undevelopable lands, it is not at all uncommon to see wildlife right from our windows/deck. While MOST places these days seem to advertise pictures of views from 'nearby', ALL of our images are taken right from the deck or windows of our home on our acre of land that is surrounded by Forest Service open space. Meanwhile and amazingly, we are RIGHT IN East Vail, just a few steps from the FREE Town of Vail shuttle bus to the slopeside and chairlifts or shops and dining. The free shuttle bus is only a short walk, and the bus ride itself only takes about 10 minutes. Also, we are walking distance to the equally quaint East Vail Market Place store in East Vail. If you'd rather drive than take free public transit, we are just 5 MINUTES from the slopes on the highway! We offer full kitchen, living room with recliner, t.v., dvd, dining area, LARGE deck 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and wood burning fireplace and the BEST, most secluded VIEWS in Vail. Our location has also been renown by our guests and Vail locals for its amazing access to fantastic cross country skiing, hiking, ice climbing, mountain biking and kayaking RIGHT FROM OUR FRONT DOOR! With private access to forest service lands, while still RIGHT in town just a few steps from the bus shuttle and grocery store, it really can't be beat. Questions about our one-of-a-kind Vail cabin? This was the ugliest duplex in the best neighborhood. The grounds were unkept. (This is not a cabin as advertised on the site). The view of the creek was beautiful but there was no access. The owner has built and locked a gate across to...More
Great mature family cabin, excellent location, and beautiful scenery. Peaceful deck from which to sip coffee and enjoy the river. Short walk to bus stop for free shuttle to Booth Falls Trailhead and Vail. Nearby grocery and spirits shop.
Cute vintage cabin on the river and in a quiet part of town. We loved the seclusion and proximity to trails and transit. Not a grand showcase like other places in Vail, but we liked the home like feel of the place. We will be...More

We return to this rental each year for our family ski trip. It has what we want after a day of skiing and we make ourselves at home. Full kitchen and charcoal grill allow us to stay in and relax.
The cabin is in a beautiful spot in Vail. It was very easy to walk to the bus to get to the mountain. It is in a location that is so very nice and quiet. We had plenty of space and a full kitchen.

Also an excellent location in East Vail - close to great hiking trails, the Betty Ford Alpine Garden and the adjoining amplitheater where the superb summer concert series is held
Couldn’t ask for a better location! We were able to have easy access to Vail, Copper, and Breckenridge for skiing. The views from the cabin are absolutely beautiful. Cant beat the price for the location.
Our family (including the dog!) loved this wonderful family-owned cabin tucked away in East Vail. Peter was so helpful before and during our stay. The cabin was the perfect place to spend a few days skiing and enjoying the snow. We'll be back!

Thank you Corinne, we look forward to accommodating you again soon!
We stayed five days in this amazing house. We enjoyed seeing and listening to the river. The house was very clean and nice. We were 10 minuets of the downtown Vail. There isn’t any garbage near of the house, so you should take it with...More
This amounted to a two-bedroom cottage which in spite of the nearness of many amenities felt remote. Some views from the deck showed no adjacent property. Other views revealed a number of the homes and fire station. The building is old; the furniture is mismatched;...More
