The stately solid concrete building is extremely quiet so that you can’t really hear much of Duval despite being right on Duval. The corner of Southard and Duval is right downstairs, and from there you can reach in near equal distance Fort Zachary state park beach, Mallory Square, Hemmingway’s house, and the Southernmost point. You must be able to bring your own luggage up two flights of stairs as it’s on the second floor, and there is no elevator to the historic building.
