During your stay, we will be available for you. We can give you ideas for things to do or help with booking a table at a restaurant or what else you might need help for.
We recently stayed at Chateau de Coindrias and have nothing but absolute praise for the whole experience from initial booking to our very sad departure.
The accommodation was of very good quality, very clean and very well equipped with comfortable beds and all the amenities we required for our 2 week trip. It was also very nice to be able to find two adjoining properties to accommodate our party of 8.
The absolute highlight for us all was the magnificent pool with plenty of equipment to keep the kids entertained and keep us all cool in the heat!
The location is very rural and picturesque with Etauliers only a few minutes drive away with a supermarket and one of the best boulangerie’s we have experienced in 25 years of trips to France.
There’s lots to explore and enjoy close by and a wealth of fantastic restaurants all within easy driving distance.
Lars and Susanne are the most fabulous of hosts and made the trip even more special for all of us. They were also super helpful in providing us with information on the best places to visit that would keep everyone from a 2 year old to a 74 year old entertained.
I couldn’t recommend this place more highly, we will definitely be back!

Super Ferienwohnung/-haus in der Nähe von Etauliers
Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr gut eingerichtet. Die Ausstattung in der Küche ist perfekt. Um das Haus ist ein riesiges Grundstück. Der Pool ist sehr schön. Die Vermieter Lars und Susanne sind sehr nett und jederzeit hilfsbereit. Wir können die Ferienwohnung uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen und werden sicherlich wieder kommen.

Superb
Virkelig et fantastisk sted med et meget gæstfrit værtspar. Flotte, moderne og veludstyrede huse, og udenomsarealer. Her er fred og ro. Ingen larm og ingen kamp om solstolene ved poolen. Kun en lille times kørsel fra Bordeaux som er en by hvor man kan tilbringe flere dage. St. Emillion er også et besøg værd.

Fantastic gite will definitely be back
We stayed here with our friends so hired both gites together we were a party of 9 with children age ranging from 3 to 12. The accommodation was fantastic very clean and surprisingly spacious. It had everything we required for our stay. The gites themselves are set in very quiet beautiful grounds and there were plenty of things to keep the children entertained such as swings and a sandpit with the swimming pool being the main attraction. The owners Lars and Suzanne could not have been any nicer they live on site so are around most days but are never interfering. There local knowledge is second to none and they made us feel very welcome indeed. They were also extremely patience and managed to put up with our noisy children and the dozens of inflatables they filled the pool with. The local area has lots of fab things to do if you can manage to prize your kids away from the pool there is a book in each gite with lots of information on places to visit. The local supermarket is 5 mins drive too which is very convenient. We will definitely be returning here as we absolutely loved the place to us it was a perfect corner of paradise.

Perfect Family Location
We have just returned from a 14 day holiday at Coindrias. A family group of 10 spanning 4 generations we could not have chose a more perfect location. It suited everyone, having separate homes gave us all our own space and privacy . Where do I start the accommodation was excellent both modern and spacious. There was something for everyone ,the pool area perfect for sunbathing ,Lars and Susanne had thought of everything to keep us happy in the pool.The water guns certainly kept the adults amused for hours. Shaded areas for that afternnon nap were appreciated on the hot days and they were very hot days (not complaining).our grandson loved the sandpit and plum trees and soon learnt that he could help himself to the plums . Our evenings were spent on the patio enjoying the barbecue and local wine . We cannot thank Lars and Sussane enough they certainly made our holiday as enjoyable as possible, organising a visit to a local vineyard .telling us about local markets the highlight being Montendre evening market. Bordeux airport 45 minutes away. We also visited St Emilion a must if you visit this area. We will return next year to celebrate my 5oth Birthday . So if you want a relaxing holiday with everything on site and the perfect host and hostess I can certainly recommend this one .Thankyou Lars and Susanne for making our holiday so special.

Ideal for several generations or two couples
Three years in a row, three generations of my family have stayed one week in Chateau de Coindrias and we have already booked again. The setting of two identical houses right next to each other gives the ideal possibility of grandparents in one house and children and grand children in the other house. It gives the possibility of privacy and to withdraw for some quiet time on your own. The surroundings are beautiful and both the BBQ and the pool area are enjoyed by all ages. The “Orangery” gives a wonderful shade during the warmest hours. The hosts were very kind and helped us to arrange visits and tastings at different fine chateau`s and to suggest excursions in the nearby region, which is very beautiful with vine yards and soft hills. We absolutely recommend this holiday home for all families or two couples wanting privacy at the same time as being on holiday together.

Beautiful property
The gite is in a beautiful location and has all the amenities that you would expect and require. The children especially loved the swimming pool and the swings. The owners of the property Lars and Suzanne are lovely people and can’t do enough to help you, without being intrusive. On the whole this is a fantastic property, with great owners which made for a brilliant holiday.

About the neighbourhood
In the gite a guide to activities and tour suggestions can be found including a number of tourist brochures.Blaye (15km) is located at the riverside of the Gironde and is dominated by the Citadelle, which is a manifique fortress which is a "must see". The tide can be seen all along the riverside of Gironde. A small ferry takes you from Blaye over the Gironde river to the Medoc peninsula, where the exceptional "route de chateau" can be followed and a number of the most famous wine groving castles can be seen. At some of them a wine tasting is offered.Along the Gironde riverside there are several bird sanctuaries and for the ornithology interested this is a "must see".Every day there is a market in one of the near by villages. In Montendre (12km) there is in July and August a weekly "night-market", where you can listen to music and eat together with the locals in the streets.Golf can be played in Montendre as well. Green fee is 10 euro.In Etauliers (3 km) you can once a month rent a go-cart (10 Euro) and try it yourself.Magnificant underground caves can be seen a number of places within a short distance. Guided tours available as well.The Gironde area is softly hilled and very well suited for bycycling tours. Old railways have been turned into bycycling routes and maps can be provided at the tourist offices. St. Emilion (50 km) is a fascinating, extremely charming, small village surrounded by some of the most famous castles and is amust see.Archachon (100 km) is the city at the costline south of Bordeaux, where the Bordelaiser have there summer recidences. It is a high class shopping area with restaurants and cafes and of course the beach. Near by is the Dune du Pilat - the greatest dyne in Europe, which a visit worth while.Bordeaux (55 km) is an aristocratic beautiful city, with shopping, restaurants and bars, boulevards and green spots all over, which is a must see.
