The proximity to the Butterfield Lake makes it special. Just open the door, walk a few steps and then down a set of stairs and you are on the dock. Private dock. Great swimming, kayaking and fishing. Extremely private. Very large screened in porch. Firepit. Sits on lake which is 4 miles long and 1/2 mile wide. Very quiet most days. Weekends may see more boaters.

About the neighbourhood
Redwood has many lakes and Butterfield Lake is the largest. The lake is 4 miles long and 1/2 mile long. The house and property are very private. Alexandria Bay is a 8 mile drive. A Bay is on the St. Lawrence River which is a boaters paradise. There are tour boats leaving several times a day. These tours venture around many of the 1.859 islands and some have stops at Boldt and Singer Castles and Rock Island Lighthouse. My favorite place in A Bay is Scenic View Park which a pavilion sitting high up on a hill overlooking the River. There is a walkway that leads over a bridge taking you to Casino Island which sits right of the River. Clayton is another 10 miles down the road. Clayton is a historic town, also right on the St. Lawrence River.
You will need your own car to get around.
