Our stay was part of a tour of Ontario which included city stays. Far Horizons was a great place to stay for our family as it gave us a place to chill out and relax. Views are fantastic and the house was well stocked. The wildlife that visited the garden was a treat to see. We even had hummingbirds!

We were looking for a vacation rental to spend the weekend celebrating my parents' 50th Wedding anniversary and 70th birthdays. This house was perfect. The home is beautiful and very well equipped. The view out of the picture windows was breathtaking - overlooking the Ottawa river and the amazing fall colours. We enjoyed evenings in the big hottub, and during the day taking long walks, visiting nearby Parc Omega and the Chateau Montebello. The owners were very helpful and accomodating and had everything there that we could possibly need. It was wonderful to be able to all sit down at the big dining room table together for a Thanksgiving dinner.

I would recommend this rental for sure. It held ten of us very comfortably. The views are spectacular as it overlooks Montebello. It was well stocked with everything including staples and we didn't need to bring anything but our clothes, food and beverages. Well worth it!

Everything is in great conditions, very roomy kitchen that allowed us to cook for 14 people, enough bathrooms for all, plenty of space to talk, socialize, great outdoorsy location in comfort. If I had to do it again, I would not rent it for only the weekend like I did.

We just spent a week in this charming vacation home with our family ranging in age from 14 months to 82 years. The house is exceptionally well equipped, especially in the kitchen, and we didn't lack for anything. There were even binoculars to view the wonderful panorama from the large picture window in the living room. We had the benefit of country living on a hilltop within minutes from Montebello. We cooked all but one of our meals and enjoyed eating together around the large dining table. We barbecued twice and spent an evening eating, talking and playing guitar in the screened porch beside the BBQ. There were lots of DVDs to choose from and games to play in the cupboards. The twenty-somethings spent several evenings in the hot tub -- the owners change the water with each new rental. The staircase from the road to the house is fairly steep but the 82-year-old was able to manage just fine, but this could be a consideration for someone with mobility issues (check with the friendly owners!). Park Omega is a couple of minutes up the road and well worth the expense of entry. Fun for all ages. We picked up delectable croissants at La Fromagerie in Montebello for breakfast, as well as fresh curds. We sampled the house beer at the microbrewery in town (Les Brasseurs de Montbello), and tried the poutine as takeout from the restaurant a couple of doors down the road (Delice Champetre). We had fun choosing a souvenir poster in Galerie Montebello with some help from the amiable owner. Some of us enjoyed the renowned Sunday brunch at Chateau Montebello. Our whole family spent a memorable week together and thoroughly enjoyed Far Horizons.

the house is gorgeous. We stayed there with our 4 (grown) children , there was lots of room for everyone to spread out and claim their own space. Only 10 min from Chateau Montebello, there is lots to do in the area - or you can just stay in the house and enjoy the tranquility and the view.

I rented this space for my work girls and myself and we had an amazing time. With the hot tub and everything you need at your finger tips, this was one of the BEST time. The space was clean, comfy and the view is absolutely stunning. No one wanted to leave. We also used the amenities at Montebello and it was so great. I course montebello is gorgeous but it was so close. I am on love. We have already been back wih my friends because our visit was so great!

13 of us stayed here while attending a wedding in the area. The house is great and the grounds and views are beautiful. The home is very well equipped with anything and everything you need ( or have forgotten! ). I would have liked to stay longer to go for a hike and explore the stairway leading down from the yard. The owners were quick to return our call when we had a question. Thanks for sharing your home!
