Brock Cottage is an idyllic base from which to explore the Lake District. Nestled in the small ancient market town of Broughton-in-Furness, this romantic holiday cottage is perfectly situated for car-free evening dining after days out exploring this picturesque area. The Duddon Valley, honoured by Wordsworth, is on the doorstep, with Coniston, Ambleside and Windermere a short drive away. Broughton, with its Georgian square complete with stocks, has butcher, delicatessen and bakery all specialising in local produce. Mountain biking, walking, fishing, sailing and cruising the lakes are all eminently accessible. A lovely cosy cottage which was very clean and lots of personal touches to make you feel at home. The local bakery is excellent and three pubs within a two minute walk. Highly recommend!
