The nearest pub which dates back to the 13th century is less than a mile away in one direction and our nearest village – with pubs, shops and cafes – is under a mile away in another. The local stations of Stonegate and Wadhurst however will take you to Tunbridge Wells in ten minutes and London in an hour. There are many attractions within easy reach by car, such as Bedgebury Pinetum and National Trust properties of Batemans and Scotney Castle as well as wonderful gardens like Great Dixter and Sissinghurst. There are sandy beaches at Camber Sands and Pett Level and interesting towns nearby like Old Hastings, Rye, Tunbridge Wells and Lewes. Facilities The bathroom has a loo, a bath with shower. Along the corridor is a 2nd separate loo. Downstairs The cottage has a stable door situated at the side of the property. A hallway leads through to the Kitchen/Dining room, Through the kitchen there is a Study, with desk, this leads through to the staircase and the Sitting room which has a fireplace with a wood burning stove making it really cosy in the winter months. A sofa plus two armchairs makes for comfortable seating. There is a Smart TV, as well as numerous usb connections for your smart phones / i-Pads etc and has Wi-Fi throughout. The fitted kitchen is equipped with a hob, oven, with dishwasher, fridge freezer as well as a kitchen table with four chairs and there is a microwave and toddlers high chair in the study cupboard if needed. There is a separate utility cupboard containing a washing machine dryer. There is Hive operated central heating throughout and constant hot water Upstairs There are two light and airy bedrooms, the main bedroom has a double bed and the smaller room has two single beds. With really good mattresses, good quality cotton sheets, down duvets – and only the owls to disturb you – we can guarantee a really good nights sleep.
