The Apple Press (sleeps 4) and The Hay Barn (sleeps 4/5) are two holiday cottages set within 50 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside. They are available to rent individually or together. The cottages are both peaceful, private retreats with lovely views and direct access to walks through the fields and footpaths. They are also the perfect base to explore the villages, towns, coast and National Trust houses that are dotted throughout the nearby area. Nearby are the picturesque villages of Burwash (home to Rudyard Kipling), Ticehurst, Wadhurst and Mayfield. Stonegate Station is 3 miles away with direct trains to London in around an hour. Bewl Water and Bedgebury Pinetum are great for walks and cycling. The Apple Press and The Hay Barn are both converted barns with their own private terrace and garden however a gate can open up both gardens for larger groups wishing to rent both cottages. Owners Jim and Zoe live in the farmhouse with their 3 children and dog and are on site to help with anything guests need.

About the neighbourhood
Eatonden Manor Farm is a 20 minute drive from the historic spa town of Tunbridge Wells and 30 minutes to Hastings and the Coast. Nearby are the picturesque villages of Burwash (home to Rudyard Kipling), Ticehurst, Wadhurst and Mayfield where you can find pubs, butchers, fishmonger, cafes and a supermarket. Stonegate Station is 3 miles from the farm with direct trains to London in around an hour. There are numerous castles and National Trust houses within the area to visit and Bewl Water and Bedgebury Pinetum are great for walks, cycling, fishing and sailing. Gatwick is a 1 hour drive, Folkestone and The Tunnel is a 1.5 hr drive.
Getting around
Ideally, guests will benefit from having a car to get around however it is possible to get a train to Stonegate station and walk / get a short 5 minute taxi. There are footpaths that lead to the villages of Burwash (20 minutes) and Ticehurst (40 minutes) where you can find pubs, village shop, take aways etc. Booking taxis in advance is essential. Supermarket deliveries are possible.
