High quality period stone cottage in central Alnwick perfect for couples and small families. The cottage has a delightful patio garden which backs onto the original town walls. We make every effort for you to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay. Puddleduck cottage has all the local amenities nearby. These include the Alnwick Playhouse. The famous Barter Books, (one of the largest secondhand bookshops in the country, situated in the fascinating old railway station) is just a few minutes walk away and is great for spending a couple of hours reading and enjoying a cup of tea and cake around an open fire. The cottage is located between the Heritage coast and Cheviot hills. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are just a few minutes walk away. WE DIDN'T WANT TO COME HOME

Amazing cottage and location

We stayed there for 4 nights after doing St Cuthbert Way. Great place to rest. Very close to town centre, but very quiet. Very clean good bathroom. Heating very efficient. Very well equipped kitchen. Could not use the little yard due to rain. Plenty of...More

First class accommodation in a central location.

Delightful house close to the town centre.

Puddleduck cottage has all the facilities you need for a comfortable stay. It’s position means that most of Alnwick is within walking distance. The delightful Northumberland countryside and attractions are within a reasonable drive. Thanks, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Anniversary break

Warm and welcoming cottage. Fabulous fireplace. Well equipped for cooking. Beds are very comfortable. Excellent location for visiting Alnwick castle and gardens, Bamburgh, castle at Craster, Cragside and lindasfarlene. Would recommend the joiners arms for good food and atmosphere in Newton by sea only 18...More
