I had a similar experience to Davinia with a booking I made for Terraces Down Town. This is another property in Burnie which is also managed by Elizabeth.
Despite a couple of requests to connect, Liz did not respond until the day prior to checkin. She advised that an access code would be provided with checkin time of 2pm. On the day of checkin, I had to followup with Liz for the access code as it was already 3.30pm. She rang back at 4.30pm advising that there had been a double booking, blaming it on the Airbnb platform, but that she had arranged alternate accommodation. We were not satisfied with this arrangement and had to scramble to find alternate lodgings during peak season.
When I advised her that in accordance with the Airbnb procedures, she had to cancel my booking so that I could get a refund, she responded that "that was garbage"....and that she would call Airbnb.
Liz never returned my messages and had cancelled her membership with...
